The Three Pillars of Reiki

These foundational practices help Reiki practitioners connect deeply with the energy and offer clear, effective sessions:

1. Gassho (“Two Hands Coming Together”)
This meditative practice focuses the mind and aligns your energy with Reiki. Practitioners join hands in the prayer position and bring awareness to the breath, allowing inner stillness to emerge. Gassho is often used at the beginning and end of Reiki sessions.

2. Reiji-Ho (“Indication of Spirit”)
This is the process of inviting Reiki and setting an intention for the session. Practitioners place their hands in Gassho and silently ask for guidance, trusting Reiki to flow where it's needed most. It’s also the moment to connect with your inner knowing and spiritual support.

3. Chiryo (“Treatment”)
This is the hands-on or distance Reiki treatment itself. After inviting Reiki and aligning with its guidance, the practitioner begins the session, often guided by intuition rather than a fixed hand position protocol. Chiryo is where Reiki flows to support the client’s highest healing.
Together, these three pillars create a powerful container for healing, presence, and spiritual connection.

1. You feel deeply relaxed
Your body softens, your breathing slows, and you feel a sense of calm you didn’t have before.
2. Emotional release happens
You may cry, feel lighter, or notice emotions coming up and then clearing.
3. Your mind becomes quieter
Less overthinking, more peace, and a sense of clarity.
4. Physical sensations shift
Tingling, warmth, coolness, or heaviness in certain areas of your body.
5. Pain or discomfort reduces
Tension eases, headaches lessen, or your body simply feels better.
6. You sleep better
Deeper, more restful sleep or feeling more refreshed when you wake up.
7. You feel more balanced
Emotionally steady, grounded, and less reactive.
8. Increased self-awareness
You start noticing patterns, triggers, and what truly needs healing.
9. Energy feels lighter
A sense of release, like something heavy has been lifted off you.
10. Subtle but lasting changes
Even if it wasn’t dramatic, you notice shifts in your mood, mindset, or energy over time.
Here’s the truth most people miss:

I am in the Growth and Learning Zone, where are you hovering?

Most people don’t realize this…
but their life is shaped by the zone they choose to stay in. 🧠

🔴 Comfort Zone
This is where you feel safe and in control.
No risks, no uncertainty.
But also—no real progress.
You stay the same, thinking you’re stable,
while slowly becoming stuck.

🟠 Fear Zone
The moment you step out, fear shows up.
Doubt. Excuses. “What if I fail?”
You start caring about opinions.
Confidence feels shaky.
This is where most people quit…
and run back to comfort.

🟡 Learning Zone
If you push through fear, everything changes.
You gain knowledge.
You build new skills.
You face challenges instead of avoiding them.
You begin to expand.

🟢 Growth Zone
This is where transformation happens.
You start living your dreams.
You find purpose.
You set and achieve meaningful goals.
You become a different version of yourself.

Buddhism teaches that attachment to comfort
keeps you in cycles of suffering.

We cling to what feels safe…
even when it limits our potential.

Growth requires letting go—
of fear, of excuses, of the need to stay comfortable.

Your life doesn’t change
when you feel ready.

It changes
when you step forward despite fear.

So ask yourself honestly:

👉 “Which zone am I living in right now?”

Because everything you want…
exists just outside your comfort zone.
