Two years of laughter, learning, friendships, adventures, memories, and so many amazing people who have helped make Onward what it is today. 💙 We are incredibly grateful for every participant, family member, staff member, volunteer, and community supporter who has been part of our journey these past two years.

Darleen brings so much warmth, kindness, and a sense of peace to Onward. She is always willing to jump in wherever she’s needed, not afraid to make relationships with families, brings in so many things from her home for us, and thinks about all the little details in everything she does. From Darleen's previous employment, she formed a lot of relationships with the community and some of our participants, which has been so helpful to many! We are so thankful for the heart she brings to our team and the difference she makes in the lives of our participants each day! Thank you for everything you do, Darleen!💜✨

🎪 Yesterday was a blast at our End-of-Summer Carnival to celebrate an amazing summer with our Onward friends before some head back to school!

🐤 We had a cotton candy machine, popcorn machine, chuck-a-duck, ring toss, can smash, water fun, fishing, axe throwing, prizes, lots of laughs, and of course… a dunk tank!

🌭 HUGE thank you to Brandon Meats & Sausage for donating the delicious hot dogs & brats for our grill-out picnic, and to our amazing families for providing the rest - buns, chips, drinks, fruit, jell-o, pickles/condiments, and dessert! We appreciate you!

💦 HUGE thank you to Bovees Backyard Bouncers LLC. for accommodating our last-minute dunk tank rental and making set-up and take-down so easy!

💕 And one more HUGE THANK YOU to our incredible team! Thank you for creating fun games, organizing everything, providing prizes, grilling, braving the dunk tank, and most importantly - continuing to work together to support our friends with toileting, medications, feeding, and all the other needs.

A whole lotta happiness from yesterday... and teamwork to get the van unstuck 🤣

Thank you again to the VandeBerg's and all the family/community volunteers for making this possible! And thank you to an anonymous donor for purchasing the tie-dye supplies so everyone could participate! 💙🎣🍨

Today, we spent the day remembering and celebrating the heavenly birthday of our dear community friend, Chad VandeBerg. ❤️

We’re pretty sure Chad had a hand in making sure the weather was absolutely perfect for one heck of a celebration on his land after a gloomy morning. ☀️

UTV rides, ice cream sundaes, fishing, tie-dye tote bags, yard games, a water fight, planting acorn trees, and a birthday cake and song filled the day with laughter, memories, and so many smiles.

It was a beautiful way to celebrate a truly wonderful man who is deeply missed by so many of us - including our participants. While we wish Chad could have been here to celebrate with us physically, it was pretty special to spend the day doing so many things we know he would have loved. ❤️

Happy heavenly birthday, Chad. 🎂 Thank you for giving us another beautiful day to remember you, celebrate you, and carry a little piece of you forward.
