One week ago today, we welcomed two special guests, Ann and Jo, who traveled all the way from Stevens Point to lead us in a fun polymer clay pen-making workshop! ✨🖊️

Participants rotated through two creative stations - one where they could choose from beautifully pre-made cane designs, and another where they got to unleash their creativity by selecting colors and designing their own custom canes. 🎨

Once their designs were chosen, everyone carefully wrapped and perfected their pen barrels, creating truly one-of-a-kind masterpieces. We can't wait to see the finished products once they've been baked! Stay tuned for the final reveal! 👀

🐒🦏 Yesterday was a splendid day at the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison!

🦒🐧 Did you know giraffes only need about 30 minutes to 2 hours of sleep each day, and penguins can drink salt water thanks to a special gland that filters out the salt?

🦁🦚 We loved learning fun facts, seeing incredible animals, and making memories with friends along the way!

💙 A HUGE thank you to Kim with Guided Discovery LLC for spending time with us yesterday, sharing her knowledge and expertise on all things sensory and autism!

💛 Many years ago, our owner Chanel had the privilege of working under Kim as an ABA Line Therapist/Behavior Technician. Kim was an incredible mentor who helped lay the foundation for so much of Chanel’s understanding of goals, functional play, fine and gross motor development, and so much more. Those experiences became important stepping stones on Chanel’s journey to becoming an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

🧡 Fast forward more than 10 years, and Onward is now implementing many of the same strategies, principles, and approaches that Kim and her team helped teach. It was truly a full-circle moment to reconnect, learn, and reflect on how those lessons continue to impact the people we support every day. 🥹

Thank you, Kim, for inspiring us then and continuing to inspire us now! 💙✨

🎶🌴 Cheeseburger in Paradise! 🍔🎶

One of our Cookin' In The Kitchen groups whipped up mini cheeseburger skewers, and the delicious aroma filled the entire center!
