I never realized how powerful this one line was until I really sat with what the words meant. At almost 41 years old I have found myself becoming less and less concerned with the number on the scale and focusing my attention on who I am becoming, as I enter into this new era of the 40s. I think what people forget so often is that weight is just a number and you are so much more than just a number on a scale!!!! on top of that as a woman your weight is going to fluctuate day-to-day week to week month-to-month. It can depend on if you’re in your 20s 30s 40s 50s it will depend on the time of month that you’re in, your hormones, how much water you did or didn’t drink, how much sodium you did or did not consume, the kind of sleep that you’ve been getting, your stress levels. These are all things that people aren’t taking into consideration when they get on the scale and look at the number in front of them. I just want to remind women especially that one of the most important things you should focus on is your lean muscle mass. If your weight is constantly fluctuating, think about all the things I mentioned above. If your weight starts to go up, it could mean that you’re actually building more muscle, especially if you’re working out because muscle weigh more than fat. So you could be losing fat, but gaining muscle you have to look at all of these things. As I continue to step into this new era of my 40s, I will be looking to growing my coaching business and working with women to help them feel more confident and understand the phase of life that they are currently in. Stop the comparison-itis. It’s so easy to look at someone and see just the highlight reel of all the things they want to show you but you’re not seeing all the things that are actually going on in the true big picture of the situation. Give yourself grace, and if you’re looking for someone to help you grow and feel confident in the body that God has given you and become the best version of yourself let me know I’m happy to help.
