If it feels like you’re always the one catching whatever is going around, the answer may be more complicated than having a “weak” immune system.

Immune health is influenced by much more than exposure. Sleep, stress, nutrient status, gut health, metabolic health, environmental factors, and how well your body recovers can all shape your immune resilience.

And sometimes, the most important clue isn’t simply how often you get sick. It’s how long it takes you to bounce back.

In this article, we look beyond the idea of “boosting” immunity and explore the bigger patterns that may help explain why some people seem to get sick over and over again.

Your pelvic floor does more than you might realize.

It plays a role in bladder control, pelvic support, core stability, coordination, and sexual function. When those muscles become weak, underactive, or harder to coordinate, the effects can show up in everyday life.

Pelvic floor therapy is designed to help activate, strengthen, and retrain those muscles so they can function more effectively.

At Back On Track 2 Wellness, our pelvic floor therapy allows you to remain seated and fully clothed while targeted stimulation creates repeated pelvic floor muscle contractions.

It may be helpful for concerns such as urinary incontinence, bladder urgency and frequency, postpartum weakness, poor pelvic control, core instability, erectile dysfunction, and sexual dysfunction.

Most people blame cortisol for fatigue, weight gain, and bad sleep — but a single number can't tell you if it's actually a problem. Cortisol is supposed to rise and fall throughout the day; what matters is the rhythm, not one snapshot.

Blame lunch all you want — the 3 o'clock crash has more going on behind it than your sandwich.

Your body clock creates part of the dip on its own, even on days you skip lunch. Last night's sleep can turn a normal afternoon lull into a wall your coffee can't fix. And whether you sit or walk in the twenty minutes after eating changes how your blood sugar responds.

Swipe through for the pattern, then try the one-week experiment — it's easier than it sounds. Full article available on our website.

Tight shoulders. Lighter sleep. Digestion that's suddenly unpredictable. Energy that disappears by 2pm.

You've been calling it stress. You're probably right — but not in the way most people mean it.

Stress isn't just a feeling. It's a coordinated biological response involving your nervous system, hormones, metabolism, immune system, and gut. Short-term, that response is useful. It's how you react when a car cuts you off.

The problem is when it gets called on again and again, without enough recovery in between. Over time that can influence blood sugar regulation, digestion, sleep, inflammation, hormone signaling, and cardiovascular function.

Which is why "just try not to stress" was never going to work. Your job is still demanding. Your family still needs you.

So the better question isn't "how do I eliminate stress?"

It's "how well am I recovering from the stress I already have?"

Full article — including what chronic stress does to each system, and when "it's just stress" isn't a good enough answer — is available on our website.

Feeling tired isn't your baseline. It's a signal.

Swipe through 5 root-cause habits that actually move the needle on energy (hint: it's not another cup of coffee).

The theme behind all of them? Your body isn't broken, it's asking for support in a specific place: blood sugar, hydration, nervous system, or somewhere your labs haven't looked yet. That's the whole idea behind functional medicine: find the actual driver instead of masking the symptom.

Which one are you starting with today? Drop it in the comments 👇

Wired but tired. Stress that shows up in your gut. Tension that won't let go, no matter how much you stretch.

These aren't separate problems — they're often the same root cause, showing up in different places. Your nervous system runs the show, and when it's stuck in overdrive, the rest of your body follows.

That's why we look at the whole picture, not just the symptom in front of us.

Swipe through, then save this for the next time you're wondering why nothing's "fixing" it.

We believe great healthcare should be comprehensive, personalized, and focused on the root cause.

We don’t believe in rushed visits or temporary fixes. We believe in listening, investigating, and building care plans designed around the individual.

The final 10 years of life are often shaped decades before they arrive.

That is the idea behind the “marginal decade.”

It asks a deeper question than simply, “How long will I live?”

It asks, “How well will I live?”

Will those years be marked by strength, mobility, independence, clarity, connection, and purpose? Or will they be marked by fatigue, weakness, pain, chronic disease, cognitive decline, medications, falls, and loss of function?

Functional Medicine looks at aging through this bigger lens.

Many of the patterns that affect the marginal decade begin quietly. Blood sugar instability, chronic inflammation, poor sleep, hormone imbalance, gut dysfunction, nutrient deficiencies, toxin exposure, stress overload, and muscle loss can slowly change how the body functions long before a major diagnosis appears.

That is why prevention cannot just mean waiting for disease and reacting later.

Prevention means paying attention to the early signals.

It means asking why the body is tired, inflamed, foggy, hormonally off, metabolically stuck, or recovering poorly.

It means building strength, supporting stable blood sugar, reducing inflammation, improving sleep, protecting brain health, and helping the body regain resilience before decline becomes normal.

At Back On Track 2 Wellness, we help patients look deeper at the systems that shape long-term health and aging.

Because longevity is not just about living longer.

It is about staying strong, clear, capable, and independent for as long as possible.

Your posture may be doing more than affecting how you look.

The way you sit, stand, breathe, move, and carry tension can influence how your nervous system interprets stress. When the head shifts forward, the shoulders round, the rib cage compresses, or the spine loses mobility, the body often has to work harder just to stay upright and stable.

That extra demand can contribute to muscle guarding, shallow breathing, neck tension, headaches, fatigue, and a body that feels like it is constantly bracing.

Cortisol is one of the body’s primary stress hormones. It plays an important role in energy, focus, inflammation control, and daily rhythm. But when the body is under constant stress from poor sleep, inflammation, blood sugar swings, pain, emotional stress, or physical strain, cortisol patterns can become disrupted.

Posture is one piece of that bigger stress picture.

At Back On Track 2 Wellness, we look at the body as a connected system. Chiropractic care helps restore better spinal movement, alignment, and nervous system communication. Functional Medicine helps us look deeper at internal stressors like hormones, inflammation, gut health, blood sugar, sleep, and nutrient status.

Because sometimes the body does not need more willpower.

It needs less strain, better support, and a clearer path back to regulation.

If your body feels tense, tired, inflamed, or stuck in stress mode, we can help you look deeper.
