Dr Miller had the opportunity to advocate on Capitol Hill, meeting with members of Congress and their staff. In total, Dr Miller and his teams from and had appts with over 30 congressional offices.

As Chairman of the Advocacy Council of ACAAI, Dr Miller was asked to speak during a lunch meeting in the Rayburn Congressional Bldg on Allergies and Asthma in the US.

Advocating for patients and Allergists directly to decision makers on Capitol Hill. Many great meetings. Many great conversations. Many issues and problems to address.

Sooo, we did a thing 🏛️

Allergy & Asthma Network and American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology invited Advocacy leaders to Capitol Hill for

We discussed major healthcare related issues - unacceptable Inhaler prices, Epi access, Asthma Control programs, affordable copays, and many more.

What I learned:

1. Advocacy matters
2. Your elected official work for YOU 👉🏽
3. We need to put pressure on our gov’t leaders to listen and act SOON
4. Wash DC is a ‘unique’ place
5. AAN and ACAAI are world class organizations

Thanks to AAN for the invite to speak on asthma, allergies and health disparities update 🙏

It was a whirlwind tour - jammed, fun, eye opening, collaborative, with lots of work left 💪🏾
