SEPTEMBER IS STACKED. ๐ŸŒป

Farmers markets. Girls nights. Community gatherings. Local food. And plenty of opportunities to come sip your wellness with us. ๐ŸคŽ

But first... tomorrow is a BIG one.

Tomorrow night is the OPENING NIGHT of the brand new Real Food Farmers Market in Auburn, founded through the nonprofit Gold Country Food Hub. Weโ€™ve had the tremendous privilege of supporting its creation and will continue serving through the nonprofit in a volunteer market management role.

And we REALLY want to see this market thrive. ๐ŸŒฑ

Itโ€™s an intentionally curated market centered around real, local, ORGANIC food - but for a new market to become strong and sustainable, it needs a community that SHOWS UP.

One that... Shops. Eats. Meets their farmers. Gets to know their makers. Brings their friends. And comes back the next week.

So we would LOVE to see you tomorrow for opening night โ€” and throughout September as this beautiful new market puts down roots in Auburn. ๐ŸคŽ

And you can find Crunchy Cottage ALL OVER this month:

๐ŸŒฟ Thursdays โ€” Real Food Farmers Market, Auburn
๐ŸŒป Fridays โ€” Loomis Farmers Market
๐Ÿ‚ Saturdays โ€” Quarry Park Farmers Market, Rocklin

PLUS:

โœจ Sept 3 โ€” Girls Night Out at The Flower Farm
๐Ÿšœ Sept 12 โ€” Tractor Supply Market, Rocklin
๐ŸŒพ Sept 13 + 27 โ€” Mahany Park Farmers Market, Roseville

Save the calendar. Send it to your crunchy friend. Come stock up, taste something new and hang out with us in real life.

Because as much as we love making these products for you, our favorite part of doing this has always been getting to know the real you.

The conversations. The stories. The familiar faces that become friends. The relationships that simply cannot be built through a screen.

Thatโ€™s why we keep showing up. ๐ŸคŽ

See you somewhere in September โ€” and hopefully TOMORROW NIGHT in Auburn! ๐ŸŒป

Your fastest options are always to find a retailer with verified stock availability or place an order directly with us for pickup in Loomis โœ…๏ธ

Please call retailers ahead before making the drive!

๐Ÿ‘‰Inventory varies by location and products can sell out between restocks, so stock is never guaranteed.

And of course, you can always come straight to us ๐Ÿซถ

We offer:

โ€ข Pickup in Loomis

7 YEARS IN BUSINESS. AND WEโ€™RE JUST GETTING STARTED. ๐ŸŒฟ

This one feels big. ๐Ÿฅน

After seven years of building Crunchy Cottage โ€” one bottle, one market, one customer, and one very sweaty pop-up at a time ๐Ÿ˜† โ€” I feel tremendously honored to share that Crunchy Cottage will be participating in and Iโ€™ll be helping manage the new Real Food Farmers Market in Auburn!

And this isn't just another farmers market.

Tammi and I have been incredibly intentional about creating a highly curated market featuring organic farmers, producers, and artisan makers who care deeply about what they're growing, raising and making.

Because we want you to KNOW YOUR FOOD.

Know where it came from.
Know how it was grown.
Know the hands that harvested it and made it.

We're taking food back to its roots โ€” back to relationship, craftsmanship, nourishment and trust.

Back to how it was. And how it should have always been. ๐ŸŒฟ

And for me, this feels incredibly full-circle.

Farmers markets have shaped Crunchy Cottage and me in ways I could have never anticipated. They've stretched me, humbled me, exhausted me ๐Ÿ˜‚, connected me deeply to our community and taught me so much about what it takes to build a small business.

There have been tears. There has been alllll the sweat. And there have been plenty of moments I wanted to quit.

Now I get to take what those seven years taught me and help create a space where other farmers, makers and small businesses can grow and thrive, too.

Just... wow. ๐Ÿฅน

I know Auburn is a trek for some of you, but seeing familiar Crunchy Cottage faces on opening night would mean SO much to me.

Come know your food.
Come know your farmer.
Come know your maker. ๐ŸŽ

Good things take time...

Our Fire Cider infuses for no less than 12 weeks.

Fresh roots. Fresh citrus. Fresh peppers. Fresh herbs. 100% Organic, farm-fresh ingredients sitting in raw apple cider vinegar for months, giving it time to extract the plant constituents we're actually after.

Our tinctures get the same treatment. 8โ€“10 weeks minimum. Carefully selected herbs, glycerin and Kangen water....and then we wait....

Because we're not trying to see how quickly we can turn ingredients into inventory

We're trying to see how much we can get out of them

We're not in this for the transaction-

We're in it for the testimony

The healing story
The breakthrough
The regeneration
The release

The message that starts with, โ€œOkay, I have to tell you what happened...โ€

THAT is what we're after ๐Ÿ‘

It's why we obsess over ingredients. Why we'll reformulate until it feels right. Why we'll source the harder-to-find ingredient that costs more. Why we care about the water, the process, and what goes into that bottle before it ever lands in your hands.

Because we don't just want to make and sell you a thing.

We want to make something worthy of becoming part of your story ๐Ÿ™Œ

Something made with enough intention that you can feel the difference.

Good things take time.

Around here, we give them time. ๐ŸคŽ

There's a story being written that you may not have thought to read...

It's one where the main characters aren't just the ones who show up with their tents and their freshly curated or harvested goods

It's actually the people who come with anticipation

The people searching for something that they feel in their bones

And no, it's not a thing for sale

It's deeper
Older
Wiser

It's a ritual
A connection
Something that always was, but somehow got lost along the way

It's the way the flavors of the season sing and the smiles go on stretching and the hands that reach to fill their bags keep searching... yearning... restoring that thing that was lost

It's the farmer who remembers what your family loved last week

The little feet running ahead because they know exactly which booth they're looking for

It's neighbors lingering longer than they planned because there's actually nowhere better to be

It's asking

Who grew this?
Who made this?
What's in it?
How do I use it?

And getting an answer from the very hands that planted it, picked it, baked it, brewed it, blended it, or built it ๐Ÿ™

Maybe that's what we're all searching for

Not another place to buy things
But a place to belong

A return to knowing where our food comes from

Knowing the people who make the things we bring into our homes

Knowing our neighbors

A rhythm that existed long before grocery aisles and two-day shipping convinced us that convenience was still meeting our needs

Every Friday morning, something old comes alive again in the middle of Loomis

We gather

We eat what was grown in familiar soil
We support the hands that made it

We talk. We laugh. We stay awhile.

And week after week, without even realizing it...
we're remembering how to be together

That's the story of the Loomis Farmers Market

And the best part?

You aren't coming to watch it or read about it...
You're one of the main characters ๐Ÿฅฐ

Please join us Fridays in the Taylor's Ice Cream parking lot from 9am-12pm and help us write the next chapter ๐Ÿซถ

I've sat with this for a few days

Watching the headlines surrounding Dr. Fauci's testimony and his repeated invocation of the Fifth Amendment, I've found myself thinking less about him...and more about the people

The people who spent years calling parents crazy for asking questions

The people who insisted there was nothing to discuss

The people who were certain there was only one acceptable narrative

For years, I stood on the steps of the California State Capitol fighting for medical freedom, informed consent, and the right of parents to make medical decisions for their own children

I wasn't there because it was easy-
I was there because I believed something wasn't right

For that, many of us were labeled crazy

We were called dangerous

We were accused of spreading misinformation

Some families lost jobs
Some lost friendships
Some watched their children become collateral damage in policies they believed were deeply wrong

We carried those labels because we refused to stop asking questions

So when I watch people now suddenly wrestling with questions that many of us have wrestled with for years...

There's a certain irony in it

Not because I enjoy watching people's hearts break while they change their minds

But because I can't help wondering how different the last several years might have looked if asking honest questions hadn't been treated as something to fear

This isn't about celebrating
It's about remembering

Remembering what it cost people to stand apart from the crowd

And hoping that the next time a group of ordinary people is willing to risk everything because they believe something deserves to be questioned, we choose curiosity before condemnation

Because being wrong is part of being human
But silencing people for asking questions shouldn't be

๐ŸŒฟ Summer wellness beats summer sickness. Every time.

This past weekend, Sunny and I both got knocked down hard.

I'm talking...

๐Ÿฅต Fever.
๐Ÿค• Body aches.
๐Ÿคฏ Splitting headache.
๐Ÿ˜ฃ Sore throat.
๐Ÿ˜ด Completely wiped out.

We have no idea what it was, and honestly, we don't spend much time trying to label every virus that comes around.

What it did remind me of was something much more important...

Wellness isn't something you start when you get sick.

It's something you build every day.

As soon as we realized we were coming down with something, we leaned into the same wellness tools we've trusted for years:

๐ŸŒฟ Elderberry Syrup

๐Ÿ’ง Extreme ElderDrops

๐Ÿ’™ Lots of Bluetiful

โœจ A touch of colloidal silver

๐Ÿ˜ด And a whole lot of rest.

Within about 24 hours, we were both feeling dramatically better and back to enjoying summer together.

For me, it was a reminder that the routines we build throughout the year matter.

Because honestly...

Ain't nobody got time to spend summer stuck in bed. ๐Ÿ˜‚โ˜€๏ธ

That's exactly why we're keeping our "Keep Your Wellness Flowing" campaign going through the end of July.

๐Ÿšš FREE Shipping or FREE Local Delivery on ANY order of $75+

๐ŸŽ Plus, we'll tuck a complimentary Gift-Size Balance Restoring Detox Bath into every qualifying orderโ€”our little reminder that rest is part of wellness, too.

๐Ÿ’œ This also applies to NEW subscription orders placed this month. *Shipping/delivery fees will resume after this first month.

No coupon code.
No special bundles.
Just stock up on the wellness products your family already loves, and we'll take care of the rest.

Here's to more sunshine...
More adventures...
More backyard dinners...
More creek days...
More memories...

And a whole lot less time under the covers.
