Big news from Texas! Egg Medical is thrilled to announce that we are approved for apron-free variance at a major hospital system in Texas. We are incredibly proud of the hard work that our team put into collaborating with the hospital's Radiation Safety Officers to get this accomplished.

Our mission is to address both radiation and orthopedic concerns responsibly, while alleviating the cost burden of ceiling construction and lab downtime. Reducing orthopedic strain by having the option to go apron-free is a goal that can be made a reality with EggNest.

Another EggNest® installation is in the books.

We're excited to support the team at Baxter Health Regional Medical Center with radiation protection designed for the entire care team.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this installation possible!

Same room. Same procedure. Same protection.

Very different radiation exposure.

Research shared by ORSIF highlights an important reality: radiation exposure concentrates in individuals, not averages.

That's why we believe protection should extend to everyone in the room

Great to see Egg Medical included in the conversation during a live case at the DRES Meeting & Cathlab Symposium in the Netherlands.

During a live case transmission from Amsterdam UMC, Dr. Alexander den Hartog and Dr. Maik Grundeken highlighted the EggNest® System while demonstrating a bifurcation treatment utilizing a drug-coated balloon strategy.

Educational events like DRES play an important role in advancing clinical practice by bringing together physicians to share techniques, outcomes, and innovations in real-world procedural environments.

Thank you to the physicians, organizers, and clinical teams helping move the field forward.

For decades, radiation exposure has been accepted as part of the job.

At OPCI, Dr. Robert Wilson discussed why it's time to move beyond that reality.

🛡️ Protect everyone in the room
⚡ Preserve workflow
📊 Support it with clinical evidence

The goal isn't simply reducing exposure.

The goal is to create a safer environment for every member of the team.

"One of the biggest things about making a capital purchase is I don't want something that is going to be used in a few procedures because that's going to make it less likely to be used all the time. I want something that can be used in every single procedure...That's why we ended up going with Egg"--Dr. Robert Riley

Capital investments only create value when they're used. Our EggNest® system was built to be used every time—helping protect everyone in the room, for every procedure

It’s official: EggNest® Complete Flex has gone global!

Amsterdam UMC recently upgraded its EggNest Protect system with the addition of the EggNest Complete Flex Shield, as seen in these pictures.

Notably, these cases represented some of the first non-U.S. procedures utilizing EggNest Complete Flex—while achieving ultra-low radiation exposure, with the majority of recorded doses falling between 1 and 3 µSv.

Thank you to the physicians and clinical teams helping advance radiation safety through innovation.

According to the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA), two of the most significant work-related health concerns are musculoskeletal and cancer.

At Egg Medical, we solve for both.

By addressing both radiation exposure and occupational strain, we're helping create environments where clinicians can not only stay safe—but thrive throughout their careers.

The number of workplace accidents has decreased by 25% over the last 10 years. However, work-related diseases still account for an estimated 2.4 million deaths worldwide each year, 200,000 of which are in Europe. EU-OSHA’s work on work-related diseases aims to provide an evidence base for preventi...

Why "Egg"? That's an Egg-cellent question that we get a lot.

Gavin Philipps answers everyone's favorite branding question during an interview with Kinetic Innovators Podcast.

The inspiration behind the name Egg Medical, and how Dr. Robert Wilson came up with the name, might surprise you.

The conversation around occupational strain in IR is finally starting to shift.

A recent article highlighted research suggesting thinner radiation protection aprons may help reduce musculoskeletal risk for interventional radiology staff without compromising protection.

At Egg Medical, we believe the future of radiation protection should support both clinician safety and clinician longevity—which is why we continue to focus on solutions like ultralight .125 lead options designed for real-world workflows in the lab.

Radiation safety is only part of the equation. Long-term orthopedic strain, fatigue, and career sustainability deserve attention, too.
