We were proud to sponsor this year’s scrub caps for the CV Fellows Bootcamp and see them in action during hands-on training at Houston Methodist.

Supporting the next generation of cardiovascular specialists means starting conversations about safety early in their careers—and we’re happy to play a small part in an incredible weekend of learning and training.

Thank you to the CV Fellows Bootcamp and Houston Methodist Institute for Technology, Innovation & Education (MITIE) teams for having us along for the ride. And judging by the photos, we hear the caps were a hit. 😉

“There is no question that these systems are costly, at least on a line-item basis. But losing a high-volume operator for health reasons can also be extremely costly from a programmatic perspective. Not being able to hire talented operators and staff because the lab is not equipped with contemporary safety equipment can be costly as well.”

Dr. Amit N. Vora, MD MPH makes an important point in a new Cardiac Interventions Today conversation on ALARA+ and the adoption of enhanced radiation protection technologies.

The cost of protecting a lab shouldn’t be considered in isolation. Workforce health, recruitment, retention, and long-term sustainability are part of that equation too.

Protection of inventorship is important. We thank the Patent Office for a comprehensive re-examination of the Rampart patent.

Egg Medical will continue to invest in what matters to our customers, namely, the technology that has defined the Enhanced Radiation Protection Device category: whole-room, scatter reduction that protects the entire procedural team allowing for apron-free procedures without construction, without rolling trip-hazards, or workflow interruptions.

A new TCTMD article highlights the multisociety expert consensus statement calling for mandatory and urgent action to modernize radiation safety in fluoroscopy labs. The message is clear: enhanced radiation protection is no longer a future consideration—it's an immediate priority.

The statement calls on hospitals, regulators, manufacturers, and professional societies to accelerate adoption of enhanced radiation protection technologies, strengthen safety standards, and better protect the clinicians who care for patients every day.

At Egg Medical, we stand behind this call to action. Protecting healthcare teams isn't just good practice—it's an ethical responsibility.

The time for implementation is now.

In a pivot from personal safety measures, the multisociety effort calls on stakeholders to pursue a modern, standardized approach.

That’s a wrap on our first SOLACI! 🇧🇷

What an incredible week connecting with clinicians from across Latin America and sharing the conversation around advancing radiation protection.

A special highlight was Dr. Santiago Garcia’s presentation featuring a recorded case demonstrating near-zero radiation exposure using the EggNest® System.

Thank you to everyone who visited our team, and to SOLACI for an amazing event💙
