☀️ Hot weather doesn’t just affect hydration — it can also interact with common medications.
Some diuretics, anticholinergic medications, and certain psychiatric or cardiovascular drugs may increase the risk of dehydration, overheating, dizziness, or kidney injury during extreme heat.
A few summer reminders:
• Review your medication list with your clinician or pharmacist
• Stay hydrated unless you’ve been advised to restrict fluids
• Watch for weakness, confusion, fainting, or reduced urination
• Store medications at the recommended temperature
• Never stop or adjust a prescription on your own
