Breast implant illness… Another amazing weekend training in Functional Medicine at the .institute. Key takeaways from this masterclass: 30% of people or more will experience illness from their implants. Leaching of silicone and chemicals from the implant shell do leak into the body creating a constant inflammatory and toxic load burden to the immune system. This increases risk of autoimmune diseases like lupus and Hashimoto’s . Implant illness will often be accompanied with high fungal/mold/yeast and biofilm burden.
