Bonnie Fang Foundation The Bonnie Fang Foundation was founded in 2002 by Bonnie’s daughters when she passed from lung cancer. She made it her mission to provide help to those in need.

The Bonnie Fang Foundation (BFF) was established in 2002 to honor nurses who demonstrate the dedication and desire to deliver outstanding patient care and continue Bonnie’s legacy of giving to the community. Bonnie, who was a nurse, was a very passionate woman who cared deeply not just for her family and friends, but for everyone around her. She was an advocate among her peers, leading a successfu

l campaign petitioning the California Nursing Board to allow foreign nurses to take their Board exams and receive their California licenses to practice as RN’s. Her compassion and drive to help those in need made a great impact on her daughters and they have made it their mission to continue her legacy.

Thank you to our incredible volunteers 💜

They say it takes a village — and our 2026 Nurses Rock village showed up in a big way.

From setup to cleanup, registration to course support, cheering stations to breakdown, and countless behind-the-scenes details in between — you stepped in with heart and helped make this event possible.

Many of the roles were not the glamorous jobs. They were the early mornings, heavy lifting, problem-solving, small details, and the work happening quietly behind the scenes. Yet you showed up with kindness, positivity, and a willingness to serve — without hesitation and without complaint.

Because of you, our participants, nurses, sponsors, vendors, and community experienced something truly special.

Our 2026 Nurses Rock 5K/10K was a huge success because of YOU.

As Nurses Appreciation Week comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank and honor every nurse for the compassion, care, strength, and dedication they bring into the world each and every day. 💜

Behind every nurse is someone’s mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son, partner, or friend — someone who gives so much of themselves to care for others, often while carrying the weight of their own lives quietly and selflessly.

Nurses deserve to feel appreciated not just during one designated week, but every single day.

To all nurses: thank you for the lives you touch, the comfort you give, and the difference you make in the hearts of so many.

What an incredible milestone… because of this amazing community, we just hit our biggest Nurses Rock numbers ever. 💜🏔️

But this movement has never been about just one day.

Every registration, share, partnership, and act of support helps us continue our mission long after race day — helping us grow toward our goal of awarding even more scholarships, uplifting future nurses, while continuing to shine a spotlight on the heroes who care for all of us every single day.

And now… we climb toward the next peak. ⛰️

We’re already dreaming bigger for next year and all we can accomplish together as this community continues to grow.

This is only the beginning. 💜

While Nurses Rock will always be at the heart of our foundation, we hope to create more opportunities throughout the year to bring people together, support our nurses, expand our impact, and give back to the community in meaningful ways.

Because of your generosity, our participants were welcomed with thoughtfully curated goodie bags filled with snacks, samples, treats, and special offers that made the event experience even more memorable and meaningful. ✨
