Celebrating World Asthma Day with Action and Impact 🌍💙

On May 5, the Association of Asthma Educators brought together a diverse community of healthcare professionals for a powerful webinar focused on improving access to anti-inflammatory inhalers.
Together, we explored:
• Why anti-inflammatory therapy is essential for all patients with asthma—even those with mild symptoms
• How to apply GINA 2025/2026 Track 1 recommendations using ICS-formoterol as reliever therapy
• Practical strategies to overcome barriers to access through education, advocacy, and system-level change
The engagement and shared commitment from clinicians across disciplines was inspiring—and a reminder of what’s possible when we align around better care.

Asthma educators come from all walks of life—but we share one mission: helping people breathe better and live better. 💙

This Asthma Awareness Month, here are a few simple ways to make an impact:

• Share what asthma control looks like with your community

• Host a quick asthma education session (in-person or virtual)

• Partner with a local school, church, or community group

• Post 1 asthma tip or event daily on social media

• Use your voice to advocate for patients and asthma-friendly policies

Every action counts. Big or small.

What will you try this month?
