For more than 30 years, Teri has been a dedicated asthma advocate, respiratory therapist, and certified asthma educator serving her rural Upstate New York community through Margaretville Hospital. Through her leadership of the Breathe Better program, community outreach, patient education, and unwavering compassion, she empowers patients and families to take control of their asthma and improve their quality of life.
Known for her clinical excellence, teamwork, and heartfelt commitment to others, Teri has made a lasting impact on countless lives. She truly embodies what it means to be an outstanding asthma advocate.

Talk about hands-on learning! 💨👏

One of the highlights from the AAE Annual Conference in Providence, RI was the breakout session "Inhaler Intelligence: Mastering Asthma Device Selection" led by AAE Board Member Hudd.

From engaging role-playing with Kristin Homze demonstrating the use and benefits of the inspiratory flow meter (In-Check) device, which is able to simulate the resistance characteristics of different inhalers to attendees putting their own lungs to the test...let's just say we have some GOOD lungs in this group! 💪

There's something special about learning by doing. Seeing members laughing, participating, asking questions, and leaving with devices in hand is a reminder that the Association of Asthma Educators is more than a professional organization—it's a community united by a shared passion and commitment to improving asthma care.

The knowledge shared, the friendships strengthened, and the collaborative spirit throughout the conference made Providence an unforgettable experience.

💡🫁 **Knowledge in Motion = Learning in Action!**

Day 2 of the AAE Annual Conference kept the momentum going with the interactive **Knowledge in Motion Rotating Learning Labs!** This fun, speed-dating-style learning experience had us rotating through expert-led stations covering asthma action plans, spirometry, MART, asthma comorbidities, and translating Type 2 inflammation into practical patient care.

One of the things we love most about being an asthma educator is that learning never stops. Every station sparked new ideas, meaningful conversations, and practical takeaways that we can bring back to our patients, colleagues, and communities. Here's to continuing to grow, collaborate, and make a lasting impact—one learning lab at a time! 💙✨

More than 200 asthma educators from across the United States gathered under one roof with a shared purpose—to learn, lead, collaborate, and improve the lives of those living with asthma and allergies. The energy, encouragement, and sense of unity in this room is a powerful reminder that when passionate professionals come together, we all rise—and so do the communities we serve.

Day 1 is officially underway at the Association of Asthma Educators Annual Conference!

What an incredible way to kick off the conference with AAE President Tami Kochan's inspiring President's Address, "Helping Each Other Rise Together to Lead the Way." 💙

Her message reminded us that leadership isn't about standing alone—it's about lifting each other up, sharing our expertise, and working together to create healthier communities.
