Happy Father’s Day from Sabetha EMS! 🚑❤️

Today we want to recognize the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who serve our community through EMS.

While many families are enjoying holidays, ball games, cookouts, and special moments together, EMS dads are often on duty,ready to answer the call when someone needs help. They miss meals, leave family gatherings, and spend time away from their loved ones so they can be there for yours.

To the dads on our crew: thank you for the sacrifices you make, the example you set, and the compassion you show both at home and on the ambulance. The same strength, patience, and love that make you great fathers also make you exceptional caregivers.

Today we celebrate all the fathers who serve not only within Sabetha EMS, but across our community.

Happy Father’s Day to the dads, grandpas, and father figures who answer the call both at home and in service to others. ❤️🚑

Any non-emergent calls for Sabetha Police should be reported to this new number:

Nemaha County Dispatch Center in Seneca will answer your call and connect you with the on-duty Sabetha Police Officer.

The current number for Sabetha City Hall (785-284-2158) will remain your point of contact for all city matters that are not law enforcement related.

In addition, any after-hours reports of power outages, water or sewer issues that need immediate attention can be reported directly to 785-334-0120 or by choosing the correct voice prompt when calling City Hall.

As always, in an emergency dial 9-1-1.

For 17 years, Kevin Wiltz has been a familiar face at Sabetha EMS—serving our community with dedication, compassion, humor, and a willingness to help wherever he was needed.

From training scenarios and community events to emergency calls and countless hours spent supporting the service, Kevin has been an important part of our EMS family. His experience, steady presence, and commitment to helping others have left a lasting impact on our crew and the community we serve.

While Kevin has retired and stepped away from active service, the legacy he leaves behind is one of teamwork, service, and genuine care for others. We are incredibly grateful for the time, knowledge, and friendship he shared with Sabetha EMS over the years.

Please join us in congratulating Kevin on 17 years of service and thanking him for everything he has done for Sabetha EMS and the citizens of our community.

As we wrap up our final day of EMS Week spotlights, we wanted to recognize some of the incredible people who may not be seen on the streets day-to-day — but are absolutely essential to what we do at Sabetha EMS.

From our RNs who assist with transfers, to our community CPR instructor who helps educate and prepare our community, to our Medical Director who provides the guidance, oversight, and support that allows our service to operate safely and effectively — these individuals are a vital part of our EMS family.

Behind every ambulance response is a team of people working in many different roles to help make quality patient care possible. Their dedication, knowledge, and willingness to serve our community do not go unnoticed.
