In addition to our scheduled Drug Take Back clinic hours listed here, we will also be distributing FREE radon test kits at the same times and locations. Through The Combat Cancer Healthy Hometowns Iowa, Sac County homeowners are eligible to receive a radon test kit at no cost. These kits are intended for residential dwellings only—businesses, organizations, and other non-residential properties are not eligible.Take advantage of this opportunity to safely dispose of unused medications and protect your home and family from radon exposure at the same time.

We're excited to announce that free radon test kits are now available at Sac County Public Health!
Radon testing is an important step in protecting your family's health and reducing your risk of radon exposure.
📋A few important details:
▪️Kits are available only to Sac County residents.
▪️You will need to stop by our office and complete a short form.
▪️Kits are intended for residential dwellings only. Businesses, organizations, and other non-residential properties are not eligible to receive a kit.

Sharing information from the CDC to help our community stay informed about measles and how to recognize the signs and symptoms.
Measles is highly contagious and can cause serious complications, especially in young children. Symptoms can include high fever, cough, runny nose, red or watery eyes, and a rash that typically begins on the face and spreads downward.
The best protection against measles is vaccination with the MMR vaccine.
