We live on a planet where whales sing songs that travel for miles.
Where trees can recognize their own offspring and protect them underground.
Where dolphins give each other names and where lightning can create glass in the sand. Where horses can read human emotions. Where rain has a smell before it even arrives and where the ocean can glow in the dark. A planet where the stars we see might not even exist anymore.

The things some refer to as simple,
Are actually earths finest treasures.
The flowers, the moon, each twinkling star,
Are truly miraculous, beyond measure.

To have an appreciation for Nature,
Is a timeless source of delight,
When you are present in its beauty,
Inspiration unfolds both day and night.

This connection is also healing,
Lending solace on difficult days,
Lifting us out of the doldrums
Giving perspective in different ways.

So step out of the material world,
And into the fields and hills of wonder,
There, you will find, a wealth of gifts,
And a source of enlightenment on which
to ponder ...
