Day 5: Put the phone away. Block out the noise. It's time to get into it. This is the chop wood, carry water moment. Your phone is going to attempt to allure you into scrolling and all of the little temptations. You have to be stronger than the marketing. Put your phone in another room. All of your virtual hang outs will be there waiting for you when you are done. Give your project undivided attention. What is your biggest distraction right now? 👇

Presence practice that builds intimacy. How to be truly present with someone. Presence involves the capacity to hold mindfulness of self while also fully tuning into another. No need to be perfect at it.

Day 4: Commit to start with dedicating 12 minutes. That is all. Keep it simple. If you have been procrastinating and avoiding, whatever you can do in 12 minutes will be sufficient to get started. The hardest part of finishing is starting. In order to finish something, you will also need to do it again. Keep returning to it. Little by little you will find your way. Commit to working on your project for 12 minutes today. If you want to stop when the timer goes off, do. (Spoiler: You usually won't). Can you find 12 minutes today? Let's do it. 👇

Open the document, clean off the desk, gather the tools and prepare the space tonight so you have zero excuses tomorrow. What is one small thing you can set up right now? 👇

Day 2: Aiming or perfection has a time and place. Knowing where to work with it and where it is not serving you is an art in itself. One good way to stall a project is to focus on the big ideal expectation and should be rather than getting real about the first step. Ask yourself: What does a minimal, finished version look like? Define "done" as simple and functional. What is the absolute bare minimum needed to finish your project? 👇

Can you let it feel uncomfortable?

I am speaking about the unfinished project or task that you keep telling yourself you need to do, yet don’t.

Today, consider what if it’s done? What if the way it is now is how it is supposed to be and its purpose is to let you feel a little uncomfortable? Can you allow yourself to be present in that uncomfortable feeling?

Perhaps it feels vulnerable to be here in that space of uncomfort.

Notice if you jump to if it’s done and unfinished then I need to get rid of it. Rather than pushing away what is uncomfortable, stay present with it. There is wisdom here. This is the practice.

What unfinished project, task, or creation is it for you? Comment and share. 👇
