Triumph Cancer Foundation Triumph Cancer Foundation’s mission is to assist survivors in recovering from cancer treatment.

Our signature program, Triumph Fitness is a 12-week strength and fitness program for adults who have recently completed cancer treatment. Founded in 2005 by cancer survivor Pam Whitehead, Triumph Fitness is available to any adult cancer survivor in the Sacramento Metro area. The 12-week class format consists of 8 survivors working with two Triumph Fitness instructors. All of Triumph's team members are certified cancer exercise specialists who are well-versed in the specific needs and challenges of survivors post treatment. Although Triumph Fitness is a group training program, the fitness regimen is tailored specifically to each individual survivor's abilities, taking into account health issues and challenges. Triumph Fitness is offered at no cost to any eligible adult cancer survivor who has received approvals from their physician , has completed treatment, has a strong personal desire to improve their strength and fitness, and can commit to a 12-week program. All costs to run the program and pay for Triumph's staff are covered through fundraising and sponsorship efforts by the Foundation.

Triumph Cancer Foundation has proudly introduced Triumph on the Go, a brand-new 12-part video series created in partnership with LIVESTRONG. 💪

Triumph on the Go brings the proven foundation of our 12-week Triumph Fitness program directly into your home. Led by certified exercise oncology instructors, each weekly session is designed to safely help survivors rebuild strength, improve stamina and regain confidence during and after cancer treatment.

One of the questions we've heard most over the years is, "How can I participate if I don't live in the Sacramento area?" Thanks to our new national partnership with LIVESTRONG, we finally have an answer. We're excited to extend that impact beyond Northern California, making Triumph accessible to survivors everywhere.

Triumph on the Go is available at NO COST, thanks to the generosity of the donors who made this program possible.

It’s easy to get caught up in the to-do lists, appointments and taking care of everyone else. Sometimes, taking care of yourself ends up at the bottom of the list.

Finding balance can be as simple as taking a walk, saying no when your plate is already full, getting a little extra rest or making plans with someone you love. You don’t have to do it all. Make room for the things that help you feel rested, connected and more like yourself. 💪

Following a cancer-protective diet just got easier and tastier thanks to this colorful tuna salad. It’s made with several superstars from the produce aisle, including cucumber, bell pepper, onion, parsley, and olives, as well as whole-grain brown rice, convenient canned tuna, and a zesty salad dressing made with lemon juice and olive oil. 🥗

Switch up your typical fruit smoothie with melons! This smoothie is ideal for those experiencing side effects from cancer treatment, such as mouth sores and difficulty swallowing.

High in protein and fiber, the Banana Melon Smoothie is perfect for an afternoon snack or an on-the-go breakfast. If you are sensitive to dairy, you can easily replace the whole milk with almond milk and use coconut or soy yogurt. 🍈
