Our team loved sharing leis, laughter, and information about how we help patients remain comfortable and supported.

At First State Hospice Care, our annual Celebration of Life event is a special gathering created to honor the memories of loved ones and provide comfort, support, and resources to families who are navigating grief - this event is quickly approaching!

This year, we're continuing our "Relief From Grief Raffle" - And we'd like to encourage our amazing community and local businesses to help make the event even more meaningful by donating items, gift cards, experiences, gift baskets, tickets, services, or other thoughtful prizes for our attendees to win!

It’s impressive how something so small can create such a big change 🩵

This is a busy blanket - commonly used as a fidget device to sooth those with diagnoses of Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Autism or Anxiety. The unique textures and interactive elements help to calm the nervous system and keep restlessness & agitation at bay.

At First State Home Health & Hospice Care, we offer busy blankets & tools to our hospice patients as a benefit of our services.
This is just one of the many ways we are able to make the First State difference in the lives of our patients and their families. 🧸🥰

Today we celebrate the fearless, dedicated and compassionate nurses that are the 𝓑𝓐𝓒𝓚𝓑𝓞𝓝𝓔 of our team.

From their fantastic wound care capabilities, rehabilitation expertise, post-surgical skills, supportive stamina, kind hearts, excellent experience, medical magic, helpful hands and words of wisdom - our nurses bring a lot to each patient's care.

🚀🧑‍🚀Happy 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲!
👩‍🚀🌌To celebrate we wanted to share a sneak peak into our bereavement booklet for children.

🚀This activity is centered around the 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 stage of grief.

If you know a child who might benefit from this astronaut-themed grief activity, please feel free to pass it pass it along to their family or share with them. 📲

Our Bereavement Booklet will be available to the young explorers grieving a loved one that was on services with us.

The goal is to keep their 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 alive as they endure the 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 of loss... whether that be a family member or friend - we want them to know that they matter and that they can overcome any obstacle in their way and 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬! 💫

(This supportive tool is still under construction 🚧🛠️🧰 but we are excited to share it is coming along wonderfully & will be available soon to families that receive our services! This is a unique part of what we offer at First State Home Health & Hospice Care, one of the many ways we are making the 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 in the lives we touch. 💙)
