CSF or cerebrospinal fluid is the fluid that surrounds your brain and spinal cord. In that same space are ligaments that hold the thick protective coat outside your brain and spinal cord to the bones of your skull and vertebrae column.

The flow of CSF can get restricted when these ligaments are damaged and that can cause pressure headaches and other tethered cord symptoms. If you've been experiencing these issues, give us a call.

What is Fascial Counterstrain and why would I want to learn how to do it?

It's a light touch manipulation of various tissues in your body to help release inflammation and get your body back on the road to recovery.

I started my training after many years and multiple Counterstrain practitioners resolved issues that others could not. As a Naturopathic Physician, I have learned and am also open to many modalities and I tried them all without success. Conventional and Alternative.

But with Counterstrain I experienced a chronically subluxing vertebrae go into position and stay there even now years after that one treatment. Nerves that had been damaged and causing loss of sensation for decades suddenly return with normal sensation. Trigeminal neuralgia resolved too. And so many other accumulated aches and pains. All better with FCS.

And now I want the people of Franklin County to experience it too.

By the time I get back to Vermont next week I'll have four complete systems in my Counterstrain toolbox to help a number of conditions. And learning the diagnostic workflow in August really helped me to level up my skills.

The Fascial Counterstrain diagnostic workflow gives the practitioner permission to treat from the body. And when tested against various systems and treatment points it will also give us enthusiastic consent.

This is what sets Fascial Counterstrain apart from many other physical medicine modalities. The body's reflexive signals will temporarily resolve the restriction, that once we complete the individual treatment area, will stay resolved.

As many of you know, I am fully invested in learning Fascial Counterstrain as quickly and thoroughly as I can to help as many of you as possible. My absence for the next two weeks is not ideal for a solo practitioner, but was the only way it was offered this year.

And, when I get back I will have two more systems in my arsenal of treatments - Artery and Somatic Nerves. I am really excited about these two classes and what symptoms they can address in my patients.

Please be patient with us in the next month as we handle not only my absence, but catching up on everything when I get back to office.
