Posted something about this on my personal page but haven't to my Healing with Mo page. Thought it would be good to let everyone on here know that we had to make that difficult decision again for Simon on August 29th, right after Sasha's passing in July.
While Simon was not my "Familiar" he was dearly loved by me and the whole Aruta family. I always referred to him as my "Familiar In Training" or "The Terrorist". He was both. I prepared a ceremony for his passing as I did for Sasha. To honor him and the time we were here together. His passing was very peaceful also. He allowed me to hold space for him for hours before he left. I was so grateful for that.
I've connected with him every day since his passing except yesterday. Each day when I connected I could tell he was progressing and healing there on the other side. His energy was at first discordant and then became smooth and easy. At one point when I connected he turned and looked at me like "what? you again? I'm good. I love you. Its ok.". Felt like I interrupted him over there....LOL!
One of the things I've learned through this passing of my Familiar In Training is that he truely was. That he chose me and the Animal Husbandry Spirits made sure he came to me. Together they had a plan.
He started out as an orphan kitty. He was a very brave one. He was the only one that survived in his litter. His mother was a feral kitty and she was killed when he and his litter mates were tiny. He was so little but so brave and he crossed the big bad road that was so deadly and scary to sit in front of a man's house. He presented himself on his last little legs and was given food from a dropper. He lived.
Later the man's wife took him to Flagler Humane Society. They took him in, neutered and updated shots and put him up for adoption online and at the local Petsmart. My husband David showed him to me. I took one look at his picture and said "he will do." We were looking for a companion for Sasha who had lost her best friend Rufus.
Simon and Sasha became friends and enjoyed each other's company. When Sassy came to be with us briefly, he became her friend too, even though I fussed at him for playing rough with her.
After Sassy left us less than 2 years after she came, Samuel (Sammie) came to be with us. Sammie is Rufus. He returned to me and Sasha. And the Three Muskateers were as one. Sasha and Sammie the Familiars and Simon the Familiar in Training.
Simon has now joined the Animal Husbandry Spirits, one of which became one of that collective after his passing (Shadow), so he is in good company. He gained his wings and his new title. Familiar.
Love you always my Familiar In Training No More. Congratulations, you graduated with flying colors.
