When you speak your truth, you call people out and naturally their ego will hate you for that, because of the protective mechanism. Truth doesn't please people, it pi**es them off, speak your truth anyway.
The moment you name what's actually happening, people get defensive. Their ego can't handle being confronted with reality, especially if that reality makes them look bad. So instead of acknowledging the truth, they attack you. Call you dramatic, mean, a troublemaker. Anything to deflect from what you just exposed about them.
Truth doesn't please people, it pi**es them off. Because truth requires accountability, change, admitting fault. And most people would rather be comfortable in their denial than face uncomfortable reality. But that's not your problem. Their discomfort with truth doesn't obligate you to lie or stay silent. Speak your truth anyway.
Even if it makes them hate you. Even if they turn everyone against you. Even if it costs you relationships with people who can't handle honesty. Your truth matters more than their comfort. And the people who deserve to be in your life will appreciate your honesty, not punish you for it.
