Nasty thing!

These are popping up all over since it’s humid and we’ve been having a lot of rain.
It is called the “false parasol“.
See photos below to help identify it.

Its nickname is called “the vomiter“ as it is a highly toxic, wild mushroom.  it can cause severe stomach illness and is extremely toxic to dogs , cats and horses. 

We have to manually pluck these up while wearing gloves and throw them in a trash bag to then tie up and dispose of them. They never go in our compost bins.
If you run over them with your lawnmower, it simply scatters the microscopic spores across the rest of your lawn or pasture 🫣

We have restocked the Italian culinary blend, but honestly, it’s just a really nice herbal blend that goes with just about anything!

We are getting close to not being able to restock this, so please take advantage of this while you can.
These are organically grown herbs that are fresh dried to then powdered down into a blend without any chemicals or fertilizers.

The coloring is fantastic! The aroma is absolutely mouthwatering and these fresh fresh herbs will last you a good year and especially if you want to open the packet up and put them in a glass jar with an air tight lid.

This blend is a staple in our pantry!

Fire starters are online!

These are made with clean unbleached recycled paper holders, cotton wicks, beeswax and herbs.

Each individual fire starter has been carefully arranged to give a showy a presentation and secured carefully with beeswax.

Super pretty, super fragrant, chemical free, and it really Starts off the excitement of enjoying an outdoor fire pit or campfire.

We were going to save these for the Halloween event, but honestly, a lot of you are ready to start doing your outdoor fires with this upcoming holiday.
Maybe if we all do an outdoor campfire this weekend it will draw in the autumn weather lol 🤣

Kind of funny but every time we use these and we’re all sitting around waiting for the lighting… These things are passed around to be inspected and sniffed first lol.🤷🏼‍♀️😜

Sometimes you just gotta roll with it and get a good laugh!

There are a lot of herbal remedy type of posts that pop up in my feed.
I see a photo of them telling you to scatter cloves all over the floor to repel pests… And I’m looking at that thinking what an absolute mess and no this doesn’t work. 
Then I see the photo of placing Bayleaf tucked around the house and I’m thinking my cat would have that shredded within an hour and all over the place 🤣
My vacuum cleaner would burn up! 🤣

This Saturday, we are playing hooky!

Cole and I are going to head on over to the Wintergarden farmers market for the day and enjoy purchasing fresh local fruits, vegetables, and other goodies!

Anyone that wants to put in an order on our website for pick up on Saturday, we can still accommodate for a morning pick up.
Gate honey is fully stocked 🐝
We will be heading out early, but we do have one staff member staying behind to bring bags to the front gate that have “prearranged” pick up times.
If you order on Saturday, the day that we’re skipping, then it will be ready for pick up on Tuesday.

Looks like it will be a 45 minute drive from St. Cloud and I think it’s going to be worth every bit of that time on the road! Definitely bringing coolers! 💪🏻
Of course, 45 minutes driving around St. Cloud is nothing anymore especially if you want to go 6 miles down the road locally lol 🤣🤣

The taste test verdict is in!
Definitely a LOT of goldenrod!
Although it will be labeled as a summer wildflower because there will always be a blend of other flowers, but the distinct taste of goldenrod is definitely there!
It is a beautiful bright yellow honey with lots of florals!
We had an early crop of goldenrod go to bloom, and it is still blooming!

This is a perfect harvest because there is no Brazilian pepper that I can tell in this honey! I think the honey was pulled just in time before the big bloom of these trees, which give it a peppery aftertaste  that I’m personally not keen on.
Luckily, we do not have a large amount of Brazilian pepper on our property.💪🏻

Goldenrod is a very  important herb for us and we use it in a lot of our products. It is most known to help with urinary tract support, allergy and sinus relief, helps to dry up mucus and calm sinus congestion, an amazing wound healing herb for sure. 
This is an excellent example of a honey that will help with allergies!
We recently have had a lot of Galberry harvests, which is a deeper and more bold honey… This one is completely opposite and very light and floral.🫶🏻🐝
As of now, this is a small crop and hopefully we will be able to offer more again in late October but no promises.
As you know… Mother nature is in control ❤️

Going forward, any honey that is ordered online or picked up at the gate box will be from this batch.

Honey!

We’ve been focusing on the herb gardens and we fell short of keeping the raw honey in stock.
The gate box is completely sold out at the moment as well as online 🫣🐝
We will be offering a wildflower honey harvest by tomorrow.
Our apologies for the delays of those that ordered honey online with your products to be shipped out.
The wild flowers include Goldenrod, winged sumac, motherwort, passion flower, black eyed susan, Spanish needle, black berry, huckle berry, moringa, oregano, thyme, mint, loofah and galangal.
There is not a distinct flavor other than a nice light colored floral when it’s all blended together from the bees bringing in the pollen and the nectar.❤️
We think you will be very happy with the latest honey harvest!

Oregano ( origanum vulgare )is a very well known and studied herb with proven benefits such as antioxidants, fights bacteria and helps to reduce inflammation.
Testings show antiviral properties due to the compounds called carvacrol and thymol.
These natural compounds have shown to block certain viruses from entering and fusing with our bodies healthy cells.

This tincture can be combined with both our elderberry and the echinacea as a tri-care blend when fighting sickness such as colds, flu and upper respiratory infections.

It’s definitely a good product to keep on hand and has a very long shelf life for storage.

It’s time!

Herbal Fire starters in the making! 

I enjoy very much arranging these all by hand, just for you guys to just set them on fire! 🫣🤣🤣🔥🔥

These are fantastic to display next to your outdoor campfires, chimneys and fire pits.
They light quickly, last a long time and a safer way to start a fire without using chemicals and especially if you like to do roasted marshmallows over the campfire. ❤️🐝

The smell amazing and much better than lighter fluid! 🤣

Disgusting!

 Had to use a public restroom and this was the soap available to use.
I absolutely cannot get the smell off of my hands!
I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed and rubbed and rinsed, and it was still there and seriously annoying.😠

Manufacturers add special fixatives to soaps in order for their fragrance to stay on your skin long after you’ve finished washing .

The ingredients are absolutely appalling! 😱
Synthetic dyes, fragrance, tetrasodium… I see nothing in the ingredients that truly offers the “crisp clean scent“ and the pictures of citrus are misleading 🤢
