Join us for the reception for Heather Renne’s The Quiet Children this Friday at 5pm.

These found dolls have outlived their original owner. Now what is original? Layers of narrative and projection collapse onto these tattered objects. What stories of personhood do these dolls embody?

Huge thanks everyone that came out to the fundraiser this weekend! We rasied $1,200 for Central Minnesota Wildlife Restoration!

The next Fundraiser will be held sometime in August - still planning. For the next one I'll be offering shading and coloring sessions of any linework flash pieces you've received at a prior flash event. Stay tuned for details!

Come see the most recent exhibit at Last Word featuring the traditional stylings of James Weaver and Justin Autio, two local tattooists. Their collection of flash sheets are all hand painted. This work often directly references veteran traditional tattooists yet elaborates on traditional themes in the material and contextual framing of various pieces. You might have recently seen these two artists putting on a fundraiser for B-Side Coffee. We are stoked to have their work on our walls! We’ll be hosting a reception for Justin and James on February 27th from 6-8pm. More details to come.

Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday to get a small piece and support a cause. It was so neat to see loved ones drawing hearts on one another for a unique and authentic tattoo. We raised an incredible $1,693 for the fundraiser! That’s a record daily revenue for the shop! Way to show up! The funds will be split between Fahan Organization and Fe Y Justicia. Here are their websites for anyone who didn’t want to commit to a tattoo but wanted to contribute. Zlatic Ink will be doing hand drawn heart tattoos throughout February on a walk-in basis. All proceeds of which will be donated. Special thanks to my lovely wife for inspiring this initiative and for being the most dedicated shop helper ever!
