Daily Basics most struggle to Hit
I’ve tried it all! The fad diet, fad of added supplements(unless your working with someone on specific for health), more cardio etc. The truth is real food and movement first matters most.
I challenge you to try this daily for a month (without all the extras) if you’re throwing the kitchen sink in your throat.
4 cups veggies try to get a colorful variety in daily
4-2/3 cups protein you can spilt this between 3 meals and a snack
2-1/3 to 1/2 cups good carbs like oats, sweet potato , Yukon gold, a good rice like wild or jasmine
3-5 Tbls healthy fats good dressings homemade are best, grass fed butter, olive oil etc be mindful we can over do these nuts and avocado(great for hormones) also fall in this category so again be mindful
2 servings of fruit(always pair with a healthy fat or protein)
H2O at least 100 oz also be mindful of what we are adding to water even if healthy can add calories we don’t need. Use lemons or limes and a dash of sea salt for good electrolytes without the added stuff
Mindful of steps minimum of 7000 or 2000(that’s 1 mile) more than your “normal “ and movement
And of course sleep 7-8 hours
If you feel the need to snack drink a glass of water first then do a veggie first then protein often it’s just food noise
There are plenty of diets, fads, do this or that. But if you’re not doing the basics the rest will fail before you even get started or eventually. Yes there is protein, fiber, caloric goals, hormone balance etc we need to meet but girls let’s get the basics down first.
