Myth: Blood draws always hurt.
Most people feel only a quick pinch. A skilled phlebotomist uses proper techniques to make the experience as gentle and comfortable as possible.

Myth: Several tubes mean a dangerous amount of blood is being taken.
Even when multiple tubes are collected, the total amount is usually very small compared with the amount of blood in your body. Each tube may be needed for a different test.
