What we put into our bodies has a bigger impact on our mental health than many of us realize.

In this provider spotlight, Nicole Cummins discusses the connection between nutrition, genetic testing, and mental wellness. For some individuals, genetic variations can make it difficult to properly process folic acid, which may contribute to increased oxidative stress and affect overall health.

The takeaway? Small, intentional choices can make a big difference. Before reaching for the quick and convenient option, take a moment to consider how your diet may be impacting your mind and body. Your mental health will thank you. 🤍

It’s hard to live in a world that constantly tells us how we should look, act, or feel.

Social media, diet culture, and unrealistic expectations can slowly change the way we see ourselves. Over time, those messages can start affecting our relationship with food, our bodies, and even our self worth.

Our provider, Sunie Thomas, APRN, talks about how eating disorders are often much deeper than what we see on the surface. They aren’t about a lack of willpower or making the “wrong” choices. They’re complex struggles that deserve compassion.

If thoughts about food, weight, or body image are taking up more space in your life than you’d like, please know you don’t have to figure it out on your own. Reaching out for help can feel scary, but it can also be the first step toward healing.

If you think you may be struggling with an eating disorder or an unhealthy relationship with food, give us a call at (435)652-1897. We’re here to not only support you, but help you find a path forward. 🤍

Motherhood is such a beautiful part of who you are but it should never be the only part. 🤍

As life changes and children grow, it’s important for moms to continue nurturing their own identity, passions, friendships, goals, and mental health too. Taking care of yourself is not selfish. It helps you stay grounded through every season of life.

This Mother’s Day we’re celebrating the women behind the role and reminding moms that you matter too. 🌷
