💙 Happy CNA Week! 💙

The call lights never stop, someone always needs something “real quick,” and there’s never a dull moment but somehow our CNAs still show up every day ready to care for our residents with compassion and a smile.

This week, we celebrate the incredible CNAs who are truly the heart of our homes.

Throughout CNA Week, we’ve shared messages recognizing the many ways you make a difference, because it’s often the little things that mean the most a kind word, a reassuring smile, a helping hand, or simply taking the time to listen.

Thank you for the patience, kindness, and dedication you bring to your work every day. You are the helping hands, the listening ears, the familiar faces, and the comforting presence that make our residents feel safe, valued, and loved.

The work you do isn’t always easy, but the impact you make is immeasurable. Your hard work, commitment, and genuine care do not go unnoticed. We are grateful for everything you do for our residents, their families, and our team.

💙 As we wrap up our CNA Week celebration, we want to extend one final thank you to our amazing CNAs. Your compassion, dedication, and the difference you make each day are truly appreciated not just this week, but all year long.

🥤🍦 Happy National Root Beer Day! 🍦🥤

When life gives you Root Beer Day, you make root beer floats! 😋

Today our residents enjoyed this old-fashioned favorite complete with creamy ice cream, fizzy root beer, and lots of smiles. It’s safe to say there wasn’t much left in the cups when everyone was finished!

A sweet treat, a little nostalgia, and a fun afternoon spent together—what more could you ask for?

🚗✨ Our residents enjoyed an outing to the Midwest Dream Car Collection, where they explored beautiful classic cars, shared memories, and enjoyed great conversation along the way. From vintage favorites to dream cars, there was plenty to admire and reminisce about.

At Home Of The Flint Hills, we love creating meaningful experiences that bring joy, spark memories, and keep our residents connected to the things they love. ❤️

A special thank you to the Midwest Dream Car Collection for the warm welcome and wonderful tour. We especially appreciated our guide, whose knowledge, enthusiasm, and stories made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you for sharing the history behind these incredible vehicles and helping create such a memorable day for our residents!

The cars were impressive, but the smiles and stories shared throughout the day were the real highlight!

🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day! 🇺🇸

Today we celebrate the American flag and all that it represents service, sacrifice, hope, and unity.

We are especially honored to care for residents whose lives and experiences have helped shape our nation’s story. Their memories, wisdom, resilience, and contributions inspire us every day.

As we reflect on Flag Day, we extend our gratitude to all veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and families who have dedicated themselves to serving others.

Silver Lake Summer Kids Kickoff was a huge success! ☀️🎉

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, hosted games and activities, brought vehicles, and helped make this event possible.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Silver Lake community and our many sponsors and partners. Silver Lake Police Department, Silver Lake Fire Department, Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office, Midwest Dream Car Collection, Sara and her husband for bringing the tractor 🚜, Frito-Lay, Interim HealthCare, Midland Care, Gentiva, Elara Caring, local businesses, and community members all played a part in making this event a success.

While this event was all about the kids, our residents loved watching the excitement throughout the morning. Seeing the children smile, play, explore the vehicles, and enjoy the activities brought so much joy to our residents and made the event special for everyone. 😊

The day was filled with fun, laughter, and memories, and we couldn’t have done it without all of you. We appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to doing it again next year! ❤️☀️
