🌿 Calling all expecting Lowcountry families!

Are you welcoming a sweet little blessing before the end of the year? We'd love to be part of your baby's very first chapter!

Natural Kids Pediatric Integrative Medicine has just a few newborn openings remaining for 2026!

🍂 **NOVEMBER — 1 newborn opening remaining!**

🎄 **DECEMBER — 3 newborn openings available!**

And believe it or not, early 2027 is already filling up, too! We currently have only a couple of newborn openings remaining for the beginning of the new year.

And can I just say how SWEET this season has been?! 🥹🤎

So many of our precious Natural Kids families are preparing to welcome little brothers and sisters! Some of these families trusted us with their very first babies, and now we're getting to walk alongside them as they welcome their next little blessings into the world.

There is something so special about watching these families grow. To go from caring for their first newborn to now caring for their siblings, too, is truly one of the sweetest parts of what I get to do. What an honor it is to be trusted with your babies, time and time again! 🥹🌿

🏡 Newborn care in the comfort of your own home!

We provide personalized, integrative newborn care throughout our local Lowcountry communities, including:

🌿 Summerville

🌿 Ridgeville

🌿 St. George

🌿 Walterboro

We also frequently travel to Mount Pleasant, Johns Island, and Charleston to care for our families!

*Additional travel fees may apply for locations outside our typical service range. We're always happy to discuss travel options and any applicable fees with your family before scheduling.*

For families who prefer an office setting, in-person visits are also available at Colleton Chiropractic in Walterboro.

From those first weight checks and feeding questions to development, tummy troubles, and all the little things that come with welcoming a new baby, we're here to provide thoughtful, unhurried, whole-child care.

Our approach has always been about more than just an appointment. It's about building relationships with families, supporting parents, and walking alongside your children as they grow.

🌿❤️ A little life update from behind the scenes at Natural Kids...

If you've noticed we've been a little quieter on here lately, there's a reason.

Sometimes life has a way of bringing you face-to-face with the very things you've spent years helping other families navigate.

As many of you know, both of our boys have been navigating PANS/PANDAS and tick borne illness, and these past several months have been incredibly difficult for our family.

The emotional dysregulation. The sensory struggles. The anxiety. The self-injurious behaviors. The trauma of watching your children struggle in ways you can't always make better, no matter how much you know or how hard you try.

The appointments, the research, the sleepless nights, the constant adjustments, and the heartbreak of trying to figure out what your children need while still balancing marriage, work, and everyday life.

And sometimes, even as a pediatric provider, you find yourself sitting there as a mama thinking, "Lord, what do we do next?" ❤️

I've been a nurse since 2011 and a pediatric nurse practitioner since 2013. I've spent years walking alongside families navigating complex health challenges, PANS/PANDAS, neurodivergence, and emotional regulation struggles.

But experiencing these things in your own home brings an entirely different depth of understanding.

I understand the exhaustion. The fear. The difficult decisions. The isolation. The feeling that you're constantly trying to stay one step ahead of the next flare.

And I understand just how much these challenges can affect the entire family.

After much prayer and consideration, we recently made the decision to bring our boys home to homeschool. It's something we've considered for quite some time, but taking that step was still incredibly emotional, especially because we truly loved their school.

We're learning how to balance their health, nervous system regulation, education, and childhood while continuing to run Natural Kids and care for the families who trust us.

So if we've been a little quiet, it's because we've been pouring a whole lot of ourselves into our own two little boys. ❤️

But something beautiful is growing out of this difficult season.

🐓🌿 BROs — River & Brixon Outfitters!

What started as our boys' little business selling eggs and homegrown vegetables is expanding into homeschooling, homesteading, outdoor adventures, and educational resources!

We're hoping to create a place where families can find hands-on learning activities, sensory-friendly ideas, regulation supports, homeschool resources, and encouragement for children of all abilities.

We'll be sharing free resources along the way, with additional educational materials and BROs goodies available for purchase as we grow.

And yes, I'm excited to bring some of my pediatric and integrative experience into these resources, too!

Because I know firsthand that sometimes families need more than another appointment or another list of recommendations. They need practical tools, support, understanding, and someone who truly gets how hard everyday life can be.

Natural Kids isn't going anywhere. If anything, this season has only deepened my heart for the families we serve.

And while I wouldn't wish some of these experiences on anyone, I pray that God will use what we're walking through to help us better support others.

So I'd love for y'all to follow along over at River & Brixon Outfitters (BROs) as we navigate this new chapter, share what we're learning, and hopefully build something meaningful for families everywhere.

To the parents, grandparents, and caregivers walking through these incredibly difficult seasons with your children...

I see you. I understand so much more than I ever did before. And you're not walking this journey alone. ❤️

Here's to finding beauty in the unexpected, extending grace to ourselves, and trusting God even when the road looks nothing like we planned. 🌿

With love,
Lauren ❤️

💚 October 9 | World PANS/PANDAS Awareness Day 💚

What if your child's sudden change in behavior isn't simply behavioral?

What if the child who was happy, carefree, and thriving suddenly becomes anxious, fearful, angry, obsessive, or completely unlike themselves?

What if bedtime becomes a battle, separation feels impossible, or your child suddenly develops fears and rituals that weren't there before?

For some families, this is the reality of PANS and PANDAS.

PANS (Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome) and PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections) are conditions associated with the sudden onset of significant neuropsychiatric symptoms.

These children may experience:
💚 Sudden OCD symptoms or intrusive thoughts
💚 Severe separation anxiety or new fears
💚 Emotional outbursts, aggression, or irritability
💚 Tics or unusual movements
💚 Sensory sensitivities
💚 Sleep disturbances
💚 Food restriction or sudden changes in eating
💚 Urinary frequency or new bedwetting
💚 Changes in handwriting or school performance
💚 Developmental regression

And sometimes, these changes seem to happen almost overnight.

These children aren't choosing to struggle. And their parents aren't imagining the changes they're seeing.

Not every behavioral change is PANS or PANDAS, but when symptoms appear suddenly, especially following an illness or infection, they deserve a thoughtful medical evaluation.

At Natural Kids Pediatric Integrative Medicine, we believe in listening to families, looking at the whole child, exploring possible underlying contributors, and creating individualized plans that support both the child and their family.

Because behind every diagnosis is a child who deserves compassion, understanding, and appropriate care.

And behind that child is often a family fighting tirelessly to find answers. 💚

Today, we stand with our PANS/PANDAS warriors, their parents, their siblings, and every family walking this difficult road.

You are seen. You are heard. And your child's story matters.

These visits are getting really popular, and we can see why! ❤️

Sometimes you just need a quick answer without a full appointment.

Pink eye? Allergies? A simple sick visit? A quick question about your child? Need a straightforward refill request?

That’s exactly what our $50 Provider Review Appointments are for — and your child does not have to be an established Natural Kids patient.

How does it work, you ask? So easy. 🙌

You text us at (843) 242-0570. We send you a questionnaire and ask for photos if they’re helpful. Your provider reviews everything, asks any follow-up questions if needed, and then uploads your child’s plan — including supplement recommendations or prescriptions when appropriate.

No complicated scheduling. No dragging a sick kiddo out of the house. Just an easy way to get a pediatric provider’s eyes on those simpler concerns.

📱 Text Natural Kids at (843) 242-0570 to get started.

*Provider Review Appointments are for appropriate, straightforward concerns. If we feel your child needs a full visit, an in-person evaluation, or a higher level of care, we’ll let you know.*

Mamas, I want to hear from you. ❤️

What is something you’ve wanted to ask your child’s pediatric provider but either didn’t have enough time to ask, weren’t sure how to ask, or left the appointment still wondering about?

Maybe it’s something you’ve Googled 47 times. 😂 Maybe it’s something you’ve wondered about but felt silly asking. Or maybe you’ve asked before but still didn’t really understand the answer.

It can be anything — sleep, behavior, picky eating, vitamins, frequent sickness, development, tummy troubles, eczema, labs, medications… whatever has been sitting in the back of your mind.

I’m going to start doing some short videos (and maybe brave a few Lives😂) where I can slow down and talk through some of these things the same way I would if we were sitting together in the office.

So what would you ask?

Drop your questions below, or if you’d rather keep it private, send me a message. ❤️

There is something incredibly powerful about a mama who knows her child needs more.

Tonight, Jack’s mama drove over three hours to have him seen because she knows her boy, and she knows he needs answers sooner rather than later.

I first met Jack when he was just 9 months old, back when I was still practicing in conventional medicine. Having the opportunity to care for him all these years later means more to me than I can put into words.

A diagnosis can help us understand a child, but it should never limit how thoroughly we care for them. It should never become the automatic explanation for every new symptom, struggle, or change.

Some children cannot tell us what hurts. Some do not show the signs we are taught to expect. Some need extra time, patience, and creativity during an exam. None of those things make their concerns less real or excuse us from looking carefully.

Tonight, we slowed down, listened, looked deeper, and began searching for the answers his mama has been fighting so hard to find.

His mama amazes me. She loves fiercely, advocates relentlessly, and continues moving forward when her heart tells her something is not right.

Never underestimate a mama who knows her baby. She will drive the miles. She will keep asking. And she will love her child all the way to the answers. 🤍

🤍 A dash of morning sunlight, a few refreshing sips of water, and a heartfelt moment of connection can work wonders for their body, brain, and nervous system. Remember, small acts of love and care can add up to make a big difference.

08/24/2026

I did something a little outside of my comfort zone. 🤍

I took one of the hardest seasons our family has walked through and put a piece of it into a song.

Not because I’m a singer (this is definitely not my voice) but because sometimes there are things you carry that are hard to explain until you finally find the words for them.

This season stretched me as a mama, as a provider, and in my faith.

There were hospital rooms. Sleepless nights. So much researching. Fighting for answers. Watching my babies change in ways I couldn't explain. Trying to keep showing up for the families who trusted me while quietly wondering if I was doing enough for my own.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I had to learn that I wasn't meant to carry everything myself.

God was still there.

When I was exhausted.
When I was scared.
When I questioned myself.
When I felt unheard.
When I didn't know what came next.

He was there.

So this is Still Here (One Prayer at a Time).

It's probably the most vulnerable thing I've shared here, because there is a whole lot of our real life tucked inside these words.

But maybe it isn't just our story.

Maybe there's another mama fighting for answers for her baby who needs to hear:

You're still held.
You're not walking this alone.
And sometimes all you have to do is take the next step.

One day.
One step.
One prayer at a time. 🤍

If this song finds the mama who needs it tonight, then sharing it was worth it.

With love & grace,
Your integrative pediatrics friend who's lived it too 🤍

Most days, I'm pouring into other families, and I'm incredibly grateful God has called me to do that.

Tonight, He reminded me to slow down and pour into my own. ❤️

A blanket, a simple picnic, lots of laughter, and two little boys who remind me what matters most.

Sometimes the best memories are the simplest ones. 🩵🌿

Happy Father's Day to all the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, bonus dads, and father figures. ❤️

When I think about a great dad, I think about my own.

Some of my favorite childhood memories aren't the big vacations or expensive gifts. They're the simple things. Fishing on quiet evenings. Chasing frogs after dark. Taking care of chickens. Riding through the woods. Learning how to work hard, help others, and appreciate the little things.

What I admired most then, and still admire now, is his heart. The genuine willingness to help someone in need without expecting anything in return. The kind of person who shows up when it matters.

As a pediatric provider, I see every day how much fathers matter. The dad who stays up all night with a sick child. The dad who plays on the floor. The dad who works long hours but still makes time for bedtime stories. The dad who keeps showing up, even when life is hard.

Those moments become memories. Those memories become security. And that security helps shape who our children become.

Today, we celebrate the fathers who lead with love, strength, patience, and presence.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy. Thank you for all the fishing trips, frog hunts, life lessons, and love that lasts a lifetime. 💙
