She believes that for many pelvic floor issues that have been previously dismissed as normal, there is help and hope. which is why she offers personalized, hands-on and proven treatment plans that focus on helping her patients get to feeling better starting with the first visit.

Your pelvic floor doesn’t just need to know how to tighten. It needs to know how to relax, too.

When you p**p, those muscles need to relax and coordinate to let stool pass. If they’re staying tight or not working together the way they should, you might find yourself straining, sitting there forever, or feeling like you still haven’t fully emptied.

So if you’ve been treating constipation like it’s ONLY a food, fiber, or water problem, your pelvic floor might be another piece worth looking at. 💩

There are a LOT of things I love about this job, but getting to watch women get pieces of their life back will never get old. 🤍

The little wins, the huge wins, and everything in between.

Your pelvic floor does a lot more than keep you from peeing your pants. 😂

It also has a job to do when you p**p, and sometimes constipation, straining, pain, urgency, or trouble fully emptying can tell us that something isn’t coordinating quite right.

If your bathroom habits are making you plan your day around them, dread going, or wonder “is this actually normal?”... bring it up. 💩

I’m glad we cleared that up. 😂

But seriously, if you’re planning errands around bathrooms, peeing “just in case” every chance you get, or constantly getting hit with GOTTA GO NOW urgency, there may be more we can do than telling you to hold it longer.

You don’t need to shave, wear the “right” underwear, know the correct words for everything, or somehow get comfortable talking about very personal things before you come see me.

You’re coming to a pelvic floor therapist. I already know this can feel vulnerable, awkward, and a little intimidating. My job is to meet you where you are and make it feel a whole lot less that way. 🤍

Meanwhile, you’ve been dealing with it for 2 years.

Maybe you're right... maybe it’s not THAT bad.

You only leak when you run. You know which foods make your bladder angry. You’ve figured out how to avoid the movements that cause pressure. You always know where the bathroom is. You just don’t do the things that hurt anymore.

You’re managing it.

But managing a symptom and actually improving it are two different things.

If you’ve spent months or years changing what you do because of your pelvic floor, it might be worth finding out whether you actually have to keep living around it.

Because “I can deal with it” doesn’t have to be the end goal. 👏

“I just can’t wear tampons.”

If that’s something you’ve said for years because inserting one has always hurt, felt impossible, or been so uncomfortable that you gave up trying, it might be worth asking WHY.

A lot of people find a workaround and move on. You use pads instead. You avoid certain situations. You tell yourself your body just doesn’t work that way.

And if you prefer pads, great! This isn’t about convincing anyone they need to use a tampon. 😂

It’s about recognizing that pain with insertion can give us useful information about what’s happening in your body, especially if you notice similar discomfort with other types of pe*******on.

You’re allowed to be curious about why something hurts, even if you’ve already figured out how to live without it. 🤍

S*x shouldn't feel like sitting on a bee sting. But for a lot of women, that's exactly what it feels like. Let's talk about vestibulodynia. ⬇️

It's a real, treatable condition. Not a mystery or something to be ashamed or embarrassed by.

Treatment isn't one-size-fits-all, but pelvic floor PT is often a game changer, alongside desensitization work and sometimes medical management.

One of the biggest things this work has taught me? Stay curious.

It’s easy to learn a treatment, see it work, and start believing you’ve found THE answer.

But people are not protocols.

If something isn’t working, my first thought shouldn’t be that you aren’t trying hard enough or doing enough at home. My job is to step back, ask more questions, and consider what we might be missing.

The more I learn about the pelvic floor, the more I realize how much nuance there is. And honestly? I hope I never stop learning enough to think I have it all figured out.

You deserve a provider who is willing to keep asking why. 🧠✨
