I wasn't going to address this on the business page because I genuinely believe in meeting people where they are and loving them anyway.
But, I cannot, in good conscience put on blinders to this horrific display of closed minded hate.
For years and years and years the Pagan community has been ostracized, criticized, hated, hunted, and murdered. We have survived through it all with the love and support of our community. That same community that includes many Christ centered Pagans. We have believed in love for one another despite our religious, spiritual, political and social views. We have mourned the losses together. And we will mourn the loss of another human life together now.
If you can honestly and truly sit with yourself and justify the taking of another human life based on their political and religious views, you should also sit with yourself and try to figure out where that belief comes from. I can assure you, it's not a place of love and respect. And that place has NO home in the Pagan community.
I will say MY prayers, to MY deity for the Kirk family and the lives of the people he touched. I will mourn this senseless act. I will mourn the lives of his children's future selves as they now have to navigate life without their tremendously strong father. And I will continue to meet people where they are and love them anyway.
Rest in peace Charlie Kirk. May you have the afterlife you believed in and may we all try to live the example of tolerance and respect you showed to the world.
