Minnesota Emergency Disability Services: is a private sector nonprofit emergency service that specializes in the unique needs of those who live with special challenges. These services include but are not limited to our Trap Ride Program, disaster relief program, and safety lighting systems. At the present time we take no government funding and rely on private funding such as donations grants and fundraisers to provide service to the community.

Here is for open topic.
There is just so much out the there that the public needs help with.

As operational mannaagment I'm hoping to evolve and grow our organization to adapt to new challenges and better provide four our communities.

I think that it is important that we continue whether the funding is there, whether other entities are there or not for our communities.

I would love to hear from the people we serve,
-are there more ways we can help?
-are there ways we can better help through the ways we currently offer.
-our last few fundraisers have been mediocre, but they are progress all the same. (We are hoping to put better organizations and more planning behind our next one.)
Jeremy our executive director has not had a phone in few days, hope all is going ok.
As we are a nonprofit 5013c with very few team mates huge goals and great impacts, we hope to see support through our community because we all have jobs that we endure past our volunteer time and services, Often for 100% over the last several years, we have found that we can be tunnel vsisoned such on one category you can miss many opportunities to improve, grow and impact us all.
For example
Being trapped in a chair is far scarier then not having bus fair,
Having nothing to eat is worse then having no bus fair.
Current events have proven that not everybody thinks that we need more rules regulations and laws politically, especially from an enforcement team.

If you are struggling please let us know,
If you cannot reach us 211 is a out reach center and of course our options are a window of opportunity so please do remember that 911 is often better, we are volunteers not soldiers drs police firefighters but he proudly back them and willing to stand side by side if and when ever they need.
Thank you from Scott latessa II
Operational manager of minnesota emergency disabilities services, proud citizen of my home town st paul. In the state that, iv personally Trott since I was a young grasshopper!

The cold is coming, through the winter I would like to try to offer food, coffee, and offer resources to single parents, disabled individuals, working people, if we can make some connects maybe we can get tents generators blankets jackets.
Next time you drive by people on the corner, remember one day that could be us. Please have a heart, yet don't enable bad behavior. God bless-

Hello from MEDS;
We like to 2 hear community ideas, issues so that we continue developing staff & services, contracts. We are the difference where community emergency may over look or need additional outreach help.

I apologize and thank you for bringing to my attention community,

The intentions of the video is to show that yes handicapped fokes have extra help to improve their quality of life, but the services often provided are as if they are told what they need vs hearing what they need.
Most everything dose have a way to improve, nothing good comes easy.

In video: is. Demonstration of a man I love dearly, as disabled as he is he takes on more then most able body people.
He owns a non profet and is a executive director that has made it Jeremy's roggnesses life mission, to help fokes in simular tribulations.
Difficult staff for pcas
Non accessible homes
Transportation
Disasters
Emergency
Community outreach
Sustainability
And genuinely making a difference.

In previous posts I have asked everybody to stay tuned for further updates.

As stated from a previous post we are glad to welcome back Scott Latessa. Additionally, in recognition of his previous service and experience most of all we would like to announce that he is being promoted to operations manager!

As part of our revitalization and relaunch process we would also like to thank Scott for offering additional operational space, which will be a big hand up towards being able to provide the community services that we are striving for. Finally, we are glad to offer some environmental stabilization assistance as the organization as it is beneficial for the entire team in the community.

Good morning everyone I hope you’re having a wonderful Sunday.

Over the weekend I have been reminded of many of the reasons that our organization was started. Many of the ideas for our programs or Products and services needing to solve problems with in my own situation. Many times as I’m going through the situation I realize that I am not the only one in the challenge community to deal with these problems and they are not adequate resources.

This weekend because of home Stephanie issues and other reasonsI chose to relocate you my friend and business partner’s home pad.

Relocating to an alternate location even temporary it’s almost as frustrating as an entire move when you deal with challenges of a disability. Some of these things are not having enough vehicle to transport all the equipment even if it’s just for a couple of days. Do you other things such as entire accessibility. This includes not having matching doors through the entire location, so what that means is you may be able to get in the front door or go to the kitchen but you may not be able to make it to into the bathroom

It is my personal opinion that services for the disabled might be better managed by people that live in that lifestyle and environment there is no doubt that we will require the assistance of the able-bodied community but this goes back to you the basic idea of directing our own cares and meeting your needs

This is the fundamental reason why our organization exists disabled services provided with real life understanding not but looks good or sounds good
