🌍 World Transplant Day 2026

Today, we honour the living donors and donor families whose generosity has given others the greatest gift of all — life.

Because of them, transplant recipients around the world are able to live, move, compete, and inspire.

💚 Powered by the Gift of Life.

Summer calendars fill up FAST ☀️🍉🏖️ - vacations, BBQs, lake days, concerts, camps… we get it! But if you’re looking for a meaningful (and FUN!) way to spend time together this summer, our Make-A-Meal Program is the perfect opportunity 💛

June through August tends to be our lowest time for volunteer sign-ups, but our families are still here every day and continue to rely on the comfort of a warm, home-cooked meal ❤️

We are currently in need of volunteer groups to come prepare meals for the families staying at the House. Whether it’s coworkers, friends, family, teammates, or neighbors - there’s something really special about bonding over cooking together while giving back to families going through difficult times.

And yes… we have grills available too 👀🔥 Burgers, hot dogs, kebabs, BBQ chicken - summer cookout vibes are highly encouraged!

The best part? You bring the ingredients, the laughter, and the teamwork - we’ll take care of the rest 🥘✨

Not only will you make memories together, but you’ll also help provide comfort and care to families who need it most.

Gather your people and sign up for a meal shift this summer, we promise it’ll be one of the most rewarding plans on your calendar ☀️

Today we remember Naylena and her life. We grieve with her family; and celebrate her generosity.

Organ donation, carries a heavy weight for the recipient family.
-We have equal measure of grief and gratitude.
-We carry sadness of even having to require an organ; while having awe, worship, and thankfulness we received such a beautiful gift and outcome.
-We live life forward, dreaming and striving; and yet we must look back and remember, never taking for granted this beautiful second chance.
-We remember everyone who impacted our lives before , during, and after our transplant.

May 22, 2023 Is the day we received the call; Gabe had a match. It was the day one family experienced the worst news possible. And it was the day hope and life were a fresh promise for us.

Transplant is the most ugly/beautiful experience.
Two things can be true at the same time.

What a simple way to make an impact.

And this space was a lifesaver for Mom during the 31 days in the ICU. I could take treats for Gabe and fruit and salads for my lunch so I didn’t have to buy hospital food everyday.

If your house is anything like our five RMH locations, having a lot of snack choices makes for better days. 🥨🍎🍪

For Wishlist Wednesday, we’d love your help restocking our supply of meat sticks. They are a quick and easy source of protein that kids and caregivers love, and they tend to fly off the shelves. 🤩

Please click the link below if you’d like to send us a package or two, and know that your compassion and generosity will make a tough time just a little bit easier for families with sick kids. 💞

HLHS was Gabriel’s first heart diagnosis.

This week, we’re shining a light on two critical congenital heart defects: HLHS & HRHS 💙❤️
Not just the names. Not just the basics.
We’re talking about everything.
The facts. The symptoms. The surgeries. The lifelong impact. The realities families live with every single day.
Because these diagnoses are more than medical terms — they are lived experiences. They are long nights, hard decisions, and incredible strength.
If you’ve walked this road, are walking it now, or want to understand it better — this space is for you.
We’re breaking it down, piece by piece, all week long.
You’re not alone in this. And these stories deserve to be seen.

Comment HLHS or HRHS and we'll send you the full breakdown and resources directly.

So much truth in this. Thank you all for walking with us. As May approaches we mourn with Nayleena’s family, celebrate their gift of life, and a so grateful to God for these past 3 years.

Dear Heart Mom,

We see you.

We see the nights you've spent watching over your child, listening for every breath, and praying for tomorrow to be gentler. We see the strength it takes to navigate a world filled with medical jargon, appointments, and unspoken worries. Your invisible workload. The weight you carry in your heart and mind. It may not always be recognized, but it is immense, and it is extraordinary.

You are the quiet hero in your child’s story. You’ve mastered the art of balancing hope and fear, joy and challenge, all while being a source of love and comfort. You advocate fiercely, not only for your child’s health but for their happiness and future. And in doing so, you remind us all of the boundless power of a mother’s love.

Please know this: You are not alone.

Behind you stands an invisible army of families who have walked a similar path, each one ready to lift you up when the road feels too steep. And while the journey may be uniquely yours, the burden is lighter when shared.

Most of all, we are proud of you. Not just for your resilience, but for your heart. For showing up every day, even when it's hard. For finding moments of joy amidst the challenges. And for proving, time and time again, that love truly is the strongest force in the world.

Take a deep breath and remember that you are seen, you are valued, and you are deeply loved

With admiration,
Someone Who Sees You
