That look I give when I see posts about how you can "work off" that cheese cake or donut or whatever and are now beating yourself up to do so. .
Here is the thing...... while you can burn a few extra calories, YOU CANNOT OUTRUN or OUT EXERCISE a bad diet!
Trying to "burn off" indulgences with extra exercise just leads to things like exercise anorexia, over training, injuries and emotional issues with food.
Not to mention, it perpetuates looking at food and/or weight loss as a single food , meal or single day event.
THE TRUTH is, it's all about the big picture .. ....what you do in a week, a month, 3 months a year
So, what's MY solution you ask?
Cut a few carb/fat servings from your next day or the next few days depending on the extent of your pig fest and just get back on track with healthy eating.
Remember, it takes 3500 calories plus or minus to = 1 pound of fat lost or gained so, unless you ate something like THREE Hungry Howies thin crust pizzas, THREE pints of Ben and Jerry's ice cream, TEN Krispy Cream glazed donuts or had 10 Martinis ON TOP of your regular daily intake, that slice or two of cheese cake, couple of drinks, nachos or whatever, really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things!
