One of the coolest parts of coaching isn’t always adding more exercises. Sometimes, it’s changing how someone moves.
Today during a single leg deadlift, my client was feeling pressure and discomfort in her right hip.
Instead of avoiding the movement, we slowed down and looked at what her body was doing.
I noticed some changes in her hip and pelvic positioning, so we made a small adjustment to her setup and used a few verbal cues.
I decided to take some pictures to show her what was happening so she could visually see the difference too.
The result? She immediately reported less pressure and improved comfort during the movement.
