I am leaving this page open since this is a rare break AND extremely rare to go the non-surgical route.

I am fully recovered without surgery. I am happy to answer questions should anyone need support with this type of fracture.

PT compliance was my saving grace and how I got back full usage.

Today is my 5 Month Mark.
I took July & Aug off from PT so I could enjoy my summer and make up work I lost out on.

My arm has lost some mobility in reaching and extending but I know I can get it back when I go back to PT next month.

It has been a nice break from all those Dr Appts.
Life is good.

Still very grateful I did not need surgery or need hardware. I had a FANTASTIC surgeon / doctor.

6/1/23 12 Week Surgeon Appt & X-Rays:

(Left clinic jumping up and down excited!)

My X-ray showed the bones are healed.
My joint tendons ligaments are healed enough that they will not fall out of place or dislocate on their own.

So I am free to bike, lift, paddle, etc.
I can do anything my body will allow.
She said, “When it is too stressed it will tell you.”
I have experienced this and know what she is talking about.

So I am working on PT, gaining more mobility and having fun this Summer. Then I report back to her afterwards and see her again in 3 months.

I’m going to keep going… plenty more to lose.

My hope is that if I ask for help getting out of this river on to the dock and the person can’t help me, I will be saying, “I’m now light so if you can’t lift me, you must be weak!” 😂 😝😂😆😂
