Have you been trying to book a massage with me but can't find the appointment you need because my schedule is booked out?

Great news! For a limited time, I am adding more massage times to my schedule to make it easier for you to get the bodywork you have been needing.

You will see new times available on Thursday and Wednesday afternoons for the next couple of weeks. Grab one before they're gone!

Book online using the link in my Instagram bio or online at www.holisticbodyworks.org.

Does your body need somatic support?

Not sure? Have questions? Need to hear more?

You can book a bodywork session with me and experience the difference yourself. But you are also welcome to book a consultation first to meet me and feel it out. Especially for people who have experienced trauma or are really struggling with dysregulation, having an opportunity to see the space, talk to the person, and catch the vibe can be essential before jumping in.

Are you feeling weird, confused, or uncomfortable when your massage therapist won't let you tip them?

Hopefully this explanation for why some of us have made this change will help ease your mind.

Leave a confused face in the comments if it throws you for a loop to not leave a tip. 😲🤔😬😵‍💫😳

Can you share this with a friend who could use some encouragement and empowerment today?

Just remember, your body is always listening to you, so the words you speak to yourself and about yourself matter!

Every massage I give is a little different. Some of them are magical.

How a session goes depends a lot on what the client tells me, how open they are to connecting energetically with me, and what their body has to say as I explore the work.

But I always come to the session prepared to let it be whatever it's supposed to be. And sometimes it is otherwordly for the client and for me.

In my massage practice, I don't ask for tips, which I know feels strange to a lot of people. But I don't consider my work to be a spa service. I'm providing health care just like your chiropractor, PT, or talk therapist, and you don't tip them either.

But if it feels too weird to not tip after a massage, you are very welcome to show your gratitude in other ways.

Would you rather receive fresh bread, a jar of chili crunch, or a vase of flowers? I've been gifted all three, and I can't choose which one I enjoyed the most. 🥰

What if taking better care of yourself has more to do with the process than the outcome?

I mean we all hope that the outcome of caring for our bodies will be better health and greater quality of life. But what if we receive that benefit not because we succeeded in losing x number or pounds or curing our IBS or reaching our weight lifting goals. But maybe that benefit, that boost in our wellbeing, comes from the fact that we listened to our body and gave it what it needed, day in and day out, as a radical act of loving kindness. What if that is the source of our wellbeing, regardless of whatever arbitrary goal we set as an endpoint for ourselves.

Because, let’s be honest, we don’t necessarily have control over the end point. We might still be living in a larger body a year from now. We might still experience chronic pain. We might still have terrible perimenopause symptoms. We might still get anxiety attacks. Even if we’re doing all the “right” things. Even if we’re following all the “expert” advice about how to hack our health.

What we do have control over is how we treat our bodies, how we listen to our bodies, how we honor our bodies with compassion and kindness and love. This perspective on caring for our health is about connection instead of control, compassion instead of judgement, curiosity instead of expectations, and supporting instead of fixing.

This is the mindset I’m teaching my coaching clients. I’m not coaching weight loss or hormone hacking or a “fix” of any kind. I’m coaching self-love for our bodies that leads to the actions our bodies really need that leads to people actually functioning and feeling better because their bodies feel safe and cared for.

Isn’t that what we all really need? To feel safe and cared for?

If you’re curious to learn more about this approach to health, make sure you’re following me here, take a peek at my website www.holisticbodyworks.org, send me an email or a message with questions, or schedule a coaching consultation. I want to support you as learn to care for yourself the way your body deserves.
