If you tell me one more thing I should be doing for myself, I might actually scream. 😂

It’s not that I don’t know.

I KNOW.

Move more.
Eat better.
Get more protein.
Drink more water.
Sleep more.
Reduce stress.
Take time for myself.
Keep up with appointments.
Go to the gym.
Be stronger.

I actually envy people who have made some of those things a regular part of their lives.

Because HOW?!

You aren’t lazy.

You’re busy.

Then tired. 🥱

And somewhere between work, kids, groceries, laundry, appointments, dinner, bills, relationships and the thing somebody needs tomorrow that they remembered at 9:47 tonight…

you’re supposed to add MORE?

More time.
More energy.
More money.
More effort.

Literally BOTH.

Busy.
Then tired.

Sometimes survival takes up all the available space.

Maybe taking care of ourselves doesn’t need to start with adding another thing.

Maybe it starts with looking at the life we’re actually living.

Happy to chat with you about what what gives.

HRT ladies… can I pick your brain? 👀

I’ve been working on some new connections and options through FLOW RN, and I want to talk to women who are currently on HRT, or haven’t been able to find the right fit.

Not to sell you anything.

I want to know what’s working, what isn’t, what’s frustrating, and whether there might be a better or easier option.

Refills. Access. Results. Cost. Support. All of it.

If you’re currently on or interested in HRT and you’re open to a quick and private conversation, just drop a 🙋‍♀️ below.

I’ll message you.

Or call me to book a consult at 971-707-1858

A few things I’ve learned…

🧜🏼‍♀️ You can be grateful for your life and still be tired.

🧜🏼‍♀️ Convenience is sometimes worth every penny.

🧜🏼‍♀️ A 20-minute walk absolutely counts.

🧜🏼‍♀️ The expensive thing isn’t always the better thing.
Neither is the cheapest.

🧜🏼‍♀️ You don’t have to finish everything on your plate.

🧜🏼‍♀️ Some friendships survive on memes and a check-in every three weeks. 😂

🧜🏼‍♀️ Resting before you’re completely exhausted works better than recovering after.

🧜🏼‍♀️ Buying the good sheets was worth it.

🧜🏼‍♀️ There is almost always something you can do today that makes tomorrow a little easier.

🧜🏼‍♀️ Some of the unwanted advice you ignored could have been helpful, if you had been open to listening.

🧜🏼‍♀️ And saying “no, I can’t fit that in” has saved me from having to say “why did I do this to myself?” approximately 437 times.

Still learning that last one. 😂

Ahhhh daycare.

Where your adorable 18-month-old learns new words, makes little friends and apparently brings home a complimentary respiratory virus for the entire household. 😂

Recently I did IV hydration for a husband and wife at home while their toddler ran around doing exactly what toddlers do.

And THAT is one reason mobile nursing makes sense.

Nobody wanted to pack up a sick household and go sit somewhere for hydration.

They stayed home.

I came to them.

IV hydration isn’t a magic shield against a virus and it doesn’t replace appropriate medical care. But when clinically appropriate, hydration and supportive care can be helpful when illness, poor intake and generally feeling crummy have taken a toll.

Cold and flu season is coming.

FLOW RN offers mobile IV hydration and vitamin injections, with a Registered Nurse coming to you.

She almost took all her meds.

Except… which ones did she miss?
Were they important?

She doesn’t know.

This is one of those places where independence and safety can quietly start bumping into each other.

Her medications are loaded ahead of time, locked, and released only when it’s time for that dose. By me.

Timed safety? Yes.
Locked? Yes.
Ridiculously loud screaming alarm that is VERY hard to ignore? Also yes. 😂

Medication management doesn’t always mean taking independence away. Sometimes it means putting just enough support in place to keep someone independent longer.

And giving everyone involved a little more peace of mind.

This is part of what nurse concierge care can look like.
Not glamorous. Very useful. 💛

Maybe this is for you.

Or maybe it’s for the person you were just talking with about GLP-1s, weight loss, cost and trying to figure out where to even start.

Either way, this is worth sharing.

Semaglutide options starting at $50/week.
Tirzepatide options starting at $75/week.

And yes, weekly payments are available.

I know cost matters. It matters to me too, which is why I wanted an option that didn’t require coming up with several hundred dollars at once just to get started.

But affordable doesn’t have to mean finding the cheapest medication I can possibly source.

I chose the pharmacy I work with because of the additional investment they make in compliance and formula verification. I want to offer accessible pricing without making quality the compromise.

And then there’s the part that happens after the medication arrives.

You have an actual Registered Nurse you can talk to.

I’m also a bariatric patient that lost 100pounds. Yes, I’ve lost a significant amount of weight, regained some of it, lost it again, used GLP-1 medication myself and learned firsthand that losing weight and maintaining weight are two very different things.

So we can talk about the medication.

But we can also talk about protein, hydration, side effects, food noise, muscle, movement, labs, plateaus, what you’re actually eating, what’s working, what isn’t and what maintenance eventually looks like.

Medication requires an appropriate clinical evaluation and is prescribed by a licensed provider when medically appropriate.

If this is for you:
Comment GLP-1 or send me GLP-1 privately. I’ll send you the starting options and explain how it works.

If it’s for someone else:
Send them this post.

Maybe you were just talking about it over lunch. Maybe your friend has been comparing prices. Maybe someone told you they were curious but overwhelmed by all the options online.

No need to publicly tag anybody in a weight-loss post. 😂

Just send it with:

“Hey, remember what we were talking about? I saw this.”

Affordable options. A pharmacy I feel good about working with. And a real Registered Nurse to talk to along the way.

For you, or someone who has been asking.

I have a client in the hospital right now.

And this is one of those times when “call the nurse” means something completely different at FLOW RN.

Hospitalizations can get overwhelming fast.

New medications. New doctors. Tests. Specialists. Different information from different people. Family trying to remember what was said. And eventually the big question:

What happens when they go home?

Nurse advocacy and care management can look like helping organize the information, asking questions, communicating with the people involved in someone’s care, helping prepare for discharge and making sure important pieces don’t quietly fall through the cracks.

You can absolutely have excellent doctors, nurses and hospital staff and still benefit from having someone whose job is to look at the bigger picture with YOU.

That’s part of what I do.

And honestly, it’s one of my favorite parts of nursing.

When someone you love is in the hospital, it’s a great time to get a little extra help; from someone who knows how to navigate the hard stuff so you can focus on the good stuff.

Early morning tomorrow.

Taking a client to therapy, then back home to refill her locked medication dispenser.

She does not love the locked box. 😂

And I understand why. Nobody particularly enjoys having something they’ve done independently for years suddenly have guardrails around it.

But medication mistakes can become falls, confusion, an ER visit or an unnecessary hospitalization pretty quickly.

So sometimes my job as a Registered Nurse is helping someone stay as independent as possible while quietly putting some safety measures in place.

Transportation.
Appointments.
Medication organization.
A second set of eyes.
Someone noticing when things are starting to change.

This is a big part of what FLOW RN does that you probably won’t see on an IV hydration menu.

Sometimes you don’t need more healthcare.

You just need a nurse at your side helping the healthcare you already have work a little better.

Sunday I shared a whole lot of versions of me.

Today feels like a good day to share one of the things I love about what FLOW RN has become.

It isn’t always about being sick.

Sometimes health looks like getting outside.

Moving your body without calling it exercise.

Meeting people you might not have met otherwise.

Laughing. Floating. Trying something new. Getting off your phone for a minute and looking UP. 🌕

Tonight is one of my favorite examples.

We’re getting on the water for another Full Moon Float, and apparently the universe decided to be a little extra. 😂

Full moon.
Lunar eclipse.
And maybe, if we’re ridiculously lucky, a peek at the northern lights.

No promises on Mother Nature’s performance. She’s not on my payroll. 😂

But THAT is part of what I mean when I talk about wellness.

Yes, I’m a Registered Nurse.

Yes, I help people navigate medications, weight maintenance, GLP-1s, aging parents, healthcare, infusions and the complicated stuff.

But I also believe the whole point of taking care of ourselves is getting to enjoy more of this.

The people.
The experiences.
The outside.
The weird little adventures we almost talked ourselves out of.

Tonight we float. 💙🌕

And tomorrow I’ll get back to showing you some of the other ways FLOW RN can help you get to the good parts of life.
