WHIMA is proud to announce that Aliea Strader, RHIT, CCS, was honored with the 2026 WHIMA Rising Star Award on May 12, 2026, during the WHIMA Annual Conference in Wisconsin Dells!
The Rising Star Award recognizes promising new professionals who have been credentialed within the past seven years, are active WHIMA members, and demonstrate meaningful contributions to AHIMA and/or WHIMA, along with strong potential for future leadership, innovation, creativity, and administrative capacity.
Aliea is an outstanding example of the qualities this award celebrates. She earned her RHIT in May 2025 and CCS in October 2025 and has already made significant contributions to WHIMA as the 2025-2026 Student Ambassador. Her work has included supporting student-focused education, helping develop a presentation introducing the HIM profession to HOSA students, and fostering student engagement through WHIMA's LinkedIn community.
