Anxiety and depression aren’t always just about what’s happening in your mind.
If you’ve been told mental health and physical health are two separate conversations, here’s what I want you to know: your brain is part of your body.
Inflammation can influence systems involved in brain signaling, energy, sleep, and stress response. That doesn’t mean inflammation causes every case of anxiety or depression or that addressing inflammation replaces appropriate mental-health care.
But it does mean the physical side of the conversation shouldn’t automatically be ignored.
The truth- mental health is real, and the body can still be part of the story.
At Thrive, we believe in looking at the whole person: nutrition, digestion, sleep, stress, lifestyle, health history, and appropriate medical and mental-health care.
