I’m so excited to be a speaker for Maryland Tourism Coalition’s Spring Seminar on June 25th at Dove Pointe in City of Salisbury, Maryland! 🤩
The theme this year is “Inclusive Journeys.”
It will educate and provide tools for accessible tourism.
It focuses on both invisible and visible disabilities, which I love! As I always say: disability is a broad spectrum! 👩🏻🦼➡️🧏🏿♀️🦻🏼👨🏽🦯➡️
So many people with disabilities face barriers in tourism, whether it’s statewide, nationwide, or local. I can testify to this firsthand!
My experience isn’t a singular one either. It’s one that everyone in the disability community has experienced.
I’m so thrilled that it’s taking place here on the Eastern Shore. Our local community on the Shore depends on tourism.
Ocean City, MD is one of the most famous tourist attractions in the state and Northeast America! 🏖️
Accessible tourism benefits everyone! Not only individuals, but businesses and cities too! Just think of how much tourism matters to our incredible Main Street communities — especially on the Shore.
When we center accessibility, it tells the disability and aging communities they’re welcome! 🤗
