A recent highlight I can’t stop thinking about…teaching CPR and cardiac anatomy to my son’s 2nd grade class! There’s something so powerful about watching kids light up when learning skills that could potentially save a life. Even more touching was seeing the pride and absolute joy on my son’s face🥰. Grateful for the opportunity to inspire curiosity, confidence, and possibly a few future cardiologists!

From the very beginning, you’ve always been by my side. It’s with deep sadness that I share the passing of my dear grandmother. She was the heart of our family, a woman of incredible strength, grace, and resilience. In the 1960s, she bravely left Haiti to create a better future for her loved ones and because of her sacrifice, so many doors were opened for us.

I will never forget her warm hugs, her sweet laughter, and the endless love she gave to all of us. Rest in eternal peace Mama, we will cherish your memory forever🙏🏽🕊️

In honor of National Wear Red Day, I’m sharing this throwback from the early days of my cardiology training, 13 years ago. Back then, some people tried to discourage me from pursuing this path because it was a male-dominated field. I’m so grateful I followed my heart. Every life I’ve had the privilege to save and every opportunity to educate others on heart disease has been worth it. Here’s to breaking barriers, saving hearts, and spreading awareness — because heart health is for everyone!❤️
