Basics of a good skincare regimen.💙
A great skincare routine can be pretty simple.
🧖🏼♀️ A good cleanser is essential; we don’t want to strip too many oils from your skin leaving it feeling tight, but we also need to make sure it’s cleaning your skin thoroughly. My personal fave is Cleansing Complex by
It also does the job that a toner would do, keeping your routine simple.
🍊 Vitamin C is important in the morning; not only does it supply your skin with antioxidants for sun and pollution protection, but it also helps stimulate collagen production. Which is something the skin will definitely benefit from.
💧 moisturizer, or hyaluronic acid, is also important. This can be a tricky one, because the hyaluronic acid molecule is large, and is difficult to pe*****te the skin. One way I like to address this issue is making sure our protective barrier is working like it should, keeping moisture in the skin. This can be done with products or skin treatments.
🥕 Retinol. Or vitamin A. This can be another tricky one; if the formulation isn’t correct it can be very irritating on the skin. We search hard, are always on the lookout for quality products like retinol. My absolute favorite is by The formulation is effective, and gentle enough you can use it every night, or even twice daily without reaction!! This is a product/ingredient EVERYONE should have in their skincare routine.
And of course….
☀️ Sunscreen! Make sure it’s broad spectrum, at least SPF 35, and that it’s an actual sunscreen. Moisturizer or makeup with sunscreen in it isn’t giving you enough protection. My personal favorite is Extreme Protect by It is more than just a sunscreen, you will benefit from extremozymes, which help protect your skin from extreme heat and harsh elements.
The bottom line is high quality, medical grade skincare is a game changer. And most people are surprised to learn the cost isn’t much different (sometimes much less actually!) than what you find at the makeup counter, Ulta or Sephora. And it’s clinically proven to be effective. 🔬
If you’re ready to get started on a regimen (it’s never too late!) book a consult.
Can’t wait to see you!
