There's moments where you need to take a break from everyone and everything. Spending time alone means you get to know yourself a bit more. You get to grow mentally and physically. You get to experience, appreciate, and love yourself more than you did yesterday!

What are some things you do when you spend time with yourself?

Me: I spend time at the gym working out, I love going on nature walks, I'll read a book/blog, take a bath, give myself a facial/face mask, book a massage, set my weekly intentions, do my nails and catch up on a favorite TV show.

Whatever it is, do it. Self-care and self-love don't always have to be pretty. If taking a nap alone is all you can do, it's more than just ok. 🤍

Happy New Year 2024 Bèlla Beauties ✨️

Gosh, what a year it has been, I literally feel like it flew by so quickly. I know I haven't been as present as I would have liked to be on here. I have been going through life, you know ups, downs, and sh*t even sideways lol. And, I know that affected me in everything I did or didn't do this past year. 2023 was a year of learning and finding out where I wanted to go and what I did in my personal life, in my career, and in business. I'm not going to lie, I feel like I'm not done going through that journey, but one thing I do know for a fact, is that I am excited to continue building, growing, learning and educating myself in the process. So, here's to another circle around the sun and another year of connecting with you!

The best way to set up for success in any workout session is to head into it with a fresh, clean face.

When we sweat, our pores sweat "open" to control our body temperature. This is when dirt, makeup, debris, and outside environmental toxins that are sitting on the skins surface sink into our pores. Hello, breakouts...

This can also lead to inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, dehydration, pimples, and even milia.

An amazing way to do this (if you're working out in the early morning, washing your face will be at a minimum, if you cleansed the night before) to use a micellar water, which is very gentle & it can prevent any skin dryness.

Post-working, it might make sense to do your entire nightly skin rituals such as cleaning, toning, & moisturizing.

Each May, the National Council observes 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝, a national event to bring attention to the importance of mental health, so we want to make sure we recognize a difficult truth: Nearly one in five Americans lives with a mental health condition, according to the National Institute of Mental Health.

“𝙼𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚊𝚕 𝙷𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚝𝚑 is just as important as physical, emotional, and spiritual health," said Tony Green, the interim director of the Division of Behavioral Health within DHHS. “We must reduce the stigma associated with the term mental health. A visit to a counselor for some emotional support should be seen just as important as an annual visit for a physical. Check in with yourself on your mental health and overall well-being. Even though May is 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝, it is important to check in with yourself often and make your mental health a priority every day, 365 days a year."

So as I sat this entire month honoring what my body, mind & soul needed, I came to a realization that having a skincare ritual has gotten me through the darkest moments these past few years....
