Leave QUICKLY the FIRST TIME they disrespect, manipulate, and or abuse you.

Leaving someone in a foreign country without their passport or room key because you are angry is not normal relationship conflict.

That crosses into putting the other person in a genuinely vulnerable situation.

She was lucky she still had her phone and money.

And honestly, the part about “passenger princessing” while traveling is the lesson here too.

When you are abroad, keep your own passport, some money, your phone, and ideally your own room access whenever possible.

Not because you expect your partner to abandon you.

Because travel goes sideways fast.

People get separated.

Phones die.

Bags get lost.

Arguments happen.

Plans change.

Breaking up with him the second he came back makes sense to me.

You can be mad at someone without jeopardizing their ability to identify themselves, get into their hotel, or navigate a foreign city.

1 year ago this POS walked into the shop and attacked me (Fae). Causing a chain of events to happen that has brought us to our beautiful new location on East State Street. The violation of my sacred safe space shook me and my community to its core. And 1 year later we are thriving in our new environment. So in part, thank you Samuel for your malicious nature. We will continue to grow and thrive. Remember sometimes s**t happens so the shift can happen.

The United Nations General Assembly has voted to replace the traditional world map with one that more accurately reflects the size of Africa.

The "Correct the Map" resolution, sponsored by Togo and backed by African Union (AU) members, passed with the support of 164 nations, including France and the UK. The US was the only nation to vote against it - while there were six abstentions.

The UN vote is non-binding but will see changes to the maps used by institutions around the world.

The Mercator map, which has been in common use since the 16th Century, has come in for criticism as it shows Africa as being of similar in size to Greenland, even though it is actually 14 times larger.

Critics say this leads to the development needs and potential for countries near the equator to be minimised.

Whenever a map of the world is drawn, compromises need to be made.

The Mercator map accomodates for the curvature of the Earth by making countries near the equator seem smaller than they are, with countries nearer the poles appearing larger.

In an effort to address this, a team of cartographers in 2018 created an equal area map they called the Equal Earth projection.
