Being a student-athlete can mean juggling practices, games, school, relationships, expectations, and the pressure to perform through it all. But your wins and losses don't define your worth. πŸ’™

In this episode of Talk2BeWell, More Than the Game: Finding Balance as a Student Athlete, Emy and Harper from our National Student Advisory Council get real about performance pressure, preventing burnout, balancing everything on their plates, and protecting their mental health along the way.

Because taking care of yourself doesn't make you less dedicated. And who you are will always be bigger than how you perform. 🧠✨

New school year. New opportunities. Same amazing you.

As you head into a new school year, remember this: you don't have to reinvent yourself to have a fresh start.

A new beginning isn't about forgetting what happened last year; it's about carrying forward what you've learned, letting go of what no longer serves you, and giving yourself permission to grow. πŸ’™

This year, give yourself permission to...
🌱 Make mistakes.
πŸ™‹ Ask for help.
😊 Make new friends.
πŸ’¬ Speak up.
😴 Rest.
✨ Be yourself.

Need a little encouragement before the first day? 🎧 Listen to Talk2BeWell Episode #180: Permission to Begin Again: A Fresh Start for a New School Year, where current and former NSAC students share how they're embracing new opportunities, letting go of self-doubt, and giving themselves grace as they start a new chapter. Welcome to a month of new beginnings.

A new beginning doesn't mean forgetting where you've been; it means embracing where you're going.

Whether you're starting a new school year, a new job, a new routine, or simply choosing to show up for yourself in a new way, remember that growth doesn't happen overnight. It happens one small step, one brave choice, and one new day at a time.

This month, we invite you to:
πŸ’™ Give yourself grace.
🌱 Let go of what no longer serves you.
✨ Welcome new opportunities.
🀝 Believe in your ability to grow.

No matter what chapter you're stepping into, know that you don't have to have it all figured out. Every new beginning starts with one brave step.

πŸ’¬ Tell us in the comments: What new beginning are you looking forward to this month?

POV: Your favorite notification is the one reminding you to take care of yourself. πŸ’™

This summer, use your phone as a tool for wellness, not just scrolling.

Set reminders to:
πŸ’§ Hydrate
🌞 Get outside
🫢 Check in with yourself
🌿 Take a mindful break
✨ Read an affirmation

Little reminders can help create healthier habits, one notification at a time.

πŸ’¬ If you could set one reminder for your future self, what would it say?

Control what you can. Release what you can't.

It's easy to get caught up in things outside our control, but focusing on the choices we can make helps build resilience and supports our mental well-being.

Remember:
✨ Progress over perfection.
✨ One step at a time.
✨ Your best is enough.

Take a deep breath, ground yourself in the present, and remember, you are stronger than you think.

Happy International Self-Care Day!

Self-care isn't about being perfect, it's about checking in with yourself and giving your mind and body what they need.

Today's reminder: You don't have to do everything all at once. Sometimes self-care looks like getting enough sleep, drinking water, going for a walk, setting a boundary, reaching out to a friend, or simply taking a few deep breaths.

That's why we created this Self-Care Menu because self-care isn't one-size-fits-all. Pick one thing that speaks to you today, or challenge yourself to try something new. Every small step counts.

✨ Remember: You deserve the same kindness and care that you so freely give to others.

What's one item from our Self-Care Menu you're choosing today? Let us know in the comments! ⬇️

Your self-care starts with your 😴

If you've been staying up later, sleeping in, or feeling like your sleep schedule is all over the place this summer... you're not alone.

Longer days, warmer nights, and changing routines can make it harder to get the rest your mind and body need. The good news? Small habits can make a big difference.

Tonight, try:
Keeping your room cool.
Dimming the lights before bed.
Practicing Square Breathing to help your mind and body relax.
Giving yourself permission to rest before you're exhausted.

Remember: Rest isn't something you have to earn. Sleep is one of the most powerful ways to care for your mental health, improve your mood, and recharge for tomorrow.

πŸ’¬ What's one bedtime habit that helps you get your best sleep? Share it in the comments!

πŸ’™ Save this post for your nighttime routine and send it to a friend who could use a better night's sleep.
