Got to pierce this sweet client and it was made for her!

A little Medusa history
Back in the ’90s, Toronto hairdresser and model Kerrick got his philtrum pierced by Tom Brazda at Stainless Studios. Kerrick is credited with giving the piercing the name “Medusa,” and the name stuck! A classic placement that’s still going strong decades later.
But I feel like the history of Medusa makes it even more enchanting 😊

Triple vertical helix!!
This one was a little bit of a challenge, three cartilage piercings, one after another, and this client was tougher than nails through the whole thing.
Vertical helix piercings are placed through the upper ear cartilage and require careful attention to anatomy, spacing, and jewelry placement so everything sits comfortably and complements the ear. Cartilage also tends to have a longer healing process than softer tissue, so patience and proper aftercare are key.
Big respect to this client for absolutely crushing this triple verical helix!
