If I could sit beside this young woman for five minutes, I wonder what I would tell her.

When this graduation photo was taken, I was just beginning a journey in dentistry that would eventually span more than 35 years.

I grew up in the Philippines as one of 10 children. I had dreams, determination, and a lot to learn—but I couldn’t possibly have imagined where life would take me.

I became a dentist in 1990.

Eventually, my journey brought me to America, and in 1998, I became a dental practice owner.

Over the years, I went from simply wanting to be a good dentist to learning how to become a practice owner, employer, leader, CEO, and entrepreneur.

I built Randolph Family Dental with the help of many incredible people.

I’ve had the privilege of caring for generations of patients, placing dental implants, performing surgical dentistry, embracing new technology, building teams, and continuing to learn as dentistry transformed around me.

But some of the moments I treasure most didn’t happen inside my own practice.

They happened while serving others.

Returning to the Philippines for mission work and using my skills to help people who needed care brought me back to the heart of why I chose this profession.

Dentistry can relieve pain, restore a smile, and rebuild confidence. But it can also give us an opportunity to serve people far beyond the walls of our own practice.

Some of the greatest rewards of my career were never financial.

And this journey certainly hasn’t been perfect.

I’ve made mistakes, experienced setbacks, and learned difficult lessons about business and leadership.

I’ve watched technology change, teams change, and dentistry change—and I’ve had to change with it.

There were times I had to start again.

But I kept going.

Today, when I look at photographs of the young woman who started this journey and compare them with my life now, I realize how much my definition of success has changed.

When I was younger, success was about what I could accomplish.

Today, I think much more about what I can pass on.

I think about my family and grandchildren, my team and the next generation of dental professionals, and the patients who trusted me.

I think about building something that can continue to make a difference long after I’m no longer the person doing everything myself.

That’s what legacy means to me now.

If I could go back to that graduation photograph and tell young Dr. V one thing, I would tell her:

Keep going.

Your journey won’t always look the way you planned.

There will be chapters that challenge you and chapters that surprise you.

But one day, you’ll look back and realize that the greatest accomplishment wasn’t simply becoming a dentist.

It was what you were able to do with the opportunity.

35+ years later, I’m still learning.

Still practicing.

Still serving.

Still building.

And definitely still dreaming.

The story isn’t finished yet. ❤️

Since arriving in Schertz, Texas in 1991, my journey has been one of resilience, sacrifice, and determination.
I came to this country as a military wife, a young mother, and a first-generation immigrant from the Philippines. I was married to an enlisted Air Force Staff Sergeant, navigating constant moves, new bases, and the challenges of raising a family while trying to rebuild my professional life.
I graduated from dental school in the Philippines in 1990, but starting over in the United States was not easy. I could not afford expensive review courses, so I studied on my own—late nights, early mornings—while caring for my children and supporting my husband’s military career. I took on credit card debt just to pay for my National Dental Boards, bench exams, and the Western Regional Board.
There were setbacks. There were failures. And there were moments when being a foreign-trained female dentist made the path even harder.
But I did not give up.
In 1996, I began practicing dentistry in Texas. Over the years, I raised two daughters, continued to grow professionally, and stayed committed to my patients and my community.
Today, more than 30 years later, I am still here—practicing, learning, and serving.
I represent something different from corporate dentistry. My practice may not be the biggest, and I may not have the budget for large-scale marketing or massive teams, but what I offer is deeply personal.
I invest in continuing education, modern technology, and AI systems to improve patient care and efficiency. I focus on quality, trust, and relationships—not volume.
When you walk into my practice, you are not just a number. You are a person I care about.
We provide comprehensive care including cleanings, fillings, implants, extractions, and cosmetic dentistry. For those who feel anxious or fearful, we offer IV sedation to ensure a comfortable and stress-free experience.
I am asking for your support.
When you choose a private dentist, you are choosing personalized care, experience, and someone who is truly invested in your outcome.
If you are looking for a dentist who will listen, care, and give you their very best—call us. We would be honored to take care of you.
And when we finish your dental work, I always ask my patients one important question:
What do you want your smile to look like—and how do you want it to feel?
Because your answer guides everything we do.
