🧠💙 Your mind and your body are always in conversation — it's time we start listening to both.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, our very own Maddie Kofskey, Physicians Assistant, is shedding light on something we don't talk about enough — the powerful connection between mental and physical health. Chronic pain, fatigue, and other physical conditions don't exist in a vacuum, and true healing means treating the whole person, not just the symptom.

At NuHope, that whole-person approach is at the heart of everything we do. Because you deserve care that sees all of you. 🤍

If you have been struggling with chronic pain or physical health challenges and feel like something deeper is being missed, we would love to be part of your care. 👇

🧠 Mental health matters — every single day.

This , our counsellor Mari Delgado reminds us that mental health is just as important as physical health. It shapes how we think, feel, cope with stress, make decisions, and connect with the people around us.

Sometimes the signs sthat we need support are subtle — losing excitement for the things we once loved, feeling emotionally drained, or struggling even on the “good” days. You don’t have to wait for a crisis to ask for help. Small changes matter, too.

Seeking support is not weakness — it’s an important step toward healing, growth, and healthier relationships. And most importantly, you are never alone. 💙

🌟 Freedom isn't free, and this Memorial Day we take a moment to remember and honor those who gave everything so we could live ours. At NuHope, hope and healing are at the heart of everything we do — and this weekend, we carry that hope in memory of our fallen heroes. We will be closed Monday, May 25th and will return to normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th. Have a thoughtful and blessed holiday. 💙

Your mental health and physical health are more connected than many people realize. 🧠💪

As Hamilton Gray shares, “Our physical bodies are extensions of our minds.” When our mental health suffers, it can affect our energy, motivation, relationships, recovery, and overall well-being. And when we take care of our minds, we create a stronger foundation for healing and growth in every area of life.

Too often, people convince themselves they have to handle everything alone — but asking for help is not weakness. It’s courageous. Whether you’re navigating stress, life transitions, anxiety, or substance use challenges, support can help you build healthier coping skills and reconnect with the life you want to live.

You can do it alone, but you don’t have to. 💛

Talking to your children about mental health can be overwhelming or intimidating. Did you know....young people thrive when support comes early. Encouraging open conversations about mental health can help children and teens feel supported in reaching out. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we encourage you to always celebrate the importance of mental health.

Mental health problems don't only affect adults. Children, teenagers, and young adults can have mental health problems, too. In fact, 3 out of 4 people with mental health problems showed signs before they were 24 years old.

: Maddie Kofskey, PA-C
Physician Assistant at NuHope

Since joining the team in April 2025, Maddie Kofskey, PA-C, has become a valued part of the NuHope family. With experience in dermatology and urgent care since 2022, she brings both clinical expertise and a compassionate heart to her work.

“I love being able to help guide and support patients through what can be a vulnerable time in their life,” Maddie says. “It’s incredibly rewarding to know that I’m making a positive impact—whether it’s preparing someone for surgery or helping them manage chronic pain.”

For Maddie, patient care is deeply personal. Her approach centers on empathy, communication, and follow-through.

“I want every patient to feel heard, understood, and comfortable. If I don’t have the answer, I’ll find someone who does.”

Working alongside a high-performing team is a daily motivation for Maddie.

“All of my coworkers are great people and excellent at their jobs, which makes it easy to come to work happy each day.”

What makes NuHope stand out to her is how seamlessly the team collaborates to deliver care that’s both efficient and heartfelt.

“There really is no other place like this. What we do is truly unique—and vital—for our patients. From our front desk to our leadership team, everyone plays a role in making sure nothing falls through the cracks.”

While the big wins are meaningful, Maddie finds the most lasting joy in the everyday moments.

“It’s the little things—a heartfelt ‘thank you’ from a patient or their family—that stick with me. That’s when I know I’m doing what I’m meant to do.”

Maddie calls this the friendliest and most well-run organization she’s ever been part of—and we’re just as grateful to have her on our team!
