You are like an automobile.
You might be high-performance and finely tuned like an Italian sports car, or solid and steady like a dependable SUV. You may be compact and efficient, or expansive and powerful. Whether you navigate life with speed, caution, flair, or practicality, one thing is true for all of us: we need the right fuel and maintenance to run smoothly.
Your spirit is your fuel. Your mind is your onboard computer. Your emotions are your sensors and suspension, alerting you to bumps in the road. Your body is the chassis and engine that carries you forward. You may look great on the outside, with sleek lines and polished paint, but if the inner systems are neglected—if the fuel is low, the battery uncharged, the oil dirty, or the brake fluid depleted—you’ll eventually stall out.
Too many people are running on empty without realizing it. Some never check their internal gauges—ignoring fatigue, stress, burnout, or spiritual dryness—until the breakdown comes.
Just like a vehicle needs regular care, we all need consistent nourishment in body, mind, heart, and soul. This includes sleep, movement, real connection, moments of stillness, and spiritual renewal. Without this intentional refueling, we can’t show up fully—not for our purpose, our people, or ourselves.
So check your gauges. Fill your tank. Tune your systems. You are worthy of the care it takes to thrive.
