Using grey as a highlight effect gives clients a softer grow-out and a sense of embracing their natural beauty rather than covering it.

I’ve known this beautiful young lady since she was just a belly bump, and I absolutely love the woman she’s becoming. Today was the perfect day to add some sun-kissed highlights—just enough to brighten her look while keeping a balance with her natural color. That way, when school starts back up, her grow-out stays soft and effortless without losing that fresh, lived-in blonde vibe. I also passed on a few of my favorite tricks for fashion-forward curls. So proud of her, and so grateful for this heart of gold.

After attending this most recent Hairshow and looking at the “it” stylist and styles on social media. I have been feeling a bit disheartened.

IPO…too many are doing the same thing… their value is on building their social media platform. And when i research these young educators work. I was shocked by their work. And not in a good way. Poor workmanship with a brag of 2 million tictok followers.

Today I found something great.. my history, my past, my present. Pre-social media education. In person. Hand written noted.

My favorite part of my industry it translation and ex*****on. With this, I choose to look further and learn more. Speck calm and wise. Diversify myself outside of myself. And God willing make a positive imprint.
