😭😭 occasionally I get appointments for two piercings and they’re wanting one on each side. this is the picture I try to paint to influence a different idea. not only is it uncomfortable, but sleeping on them before the downsize can cause migration. that migration can shift the angle and make it wonky. a wonkiness causes the piercing to no longer be perpendicular with the tissue resulting in obtuse angles. irritation bumps will form right on the obtuse angle.
even after a downsize the pressure can cause irritation that can bring swelling. that swelling can cause embedding.
it’s not possible to always avoid sleeping on the side that you just got pierced due to a lack of control during rem cycle.
